Today we had the Josh Gorospe charter out for some gentlemen's striped bass fishing. The boys had plans this morning and couldn't make any early departure so we left the dock at 9 AM. This didn't matter. We caught 50+ bass for the guys up to 18 lbs. This was the first time any of them had successfully striper fished and were amazed they caught so many. There enthusiasm let me know we made several lifelong fishermen today. We have plenty of open boat and charter dates available, including tomorrow afternoon's open boat trip. Another awesome day slaying striped bass. We tried to limit out the boat by 10 but couldn't do it. At 10:03 Colleen Belliod topped off the box with the a beautiful 18lber, she had at least another 20 fish. Her boyfriend Matt Loiselle had 15 fish - his big fish went 17 lbs. Tony Cavallero came again with us today and was unstoppable with easily 25 fish caught. Ralph Notarmaso had his limit and several other keepers released. Frank Qui started out like a house of fire putting his limit and bonus fish in the box before anyone else landed one. He then released another 25 fish. Today we had the keith siler charter out for striped bass. They had a hard time jigging in the morning so we switched over to bait and made it happen. We're still out fishing and its red hot!!! We were boxed up with bonus fish by 945 this morning. The jigging action is amazing. There are bass swirling on top everywhere. Marie Leide has the biggest fish around 25 lbs. Dale and Cameron Slaughter are "slaughtering" them and Cam's big fish is around 22 lbs. Pete kolvites has released several fish in the high teens and low 20's holding out for that REAL big one. Ralph Weft is high hook with over 20 bass only keeping his limit and releasing the rest. The fish are here NOW don't wait for it to get any better because it doesn't. We have plenty of space available for open boat trips or charter if you prefer the boat for yourself. We continued our bass massacre again today. We were boxed up by 10 Am. Dr bill frampton had 20 fish to 15 lbs keeping his limit and bonus fish. Frank qeu had 1z fish only keeping his limit and bonus. Sam Emmons has his limit plus bonus fish with a possible pool fish near 15 lbs. Dan Broach is currently being showed by his son Tommy and Dan jr, fortunately they're all boxed up. We had good blackfishing today in deeper water with fish up to 13 lbs. The high hook was Franky Qui, who had a dozen keepers only keeping his 4 with most of the between 3-6 lbs and his biggest was around 9 lbs. Abe Beren had 6 keepers only taking his 4 with his biggest around 10 lbs. Justin Lerner had 3 keepers one being 8.5 lbs and another around 7 lbs. Lenny Rago had 4 nice keepers to around 7 lbs. Greg Barnette and his buddy Had Birchmier had 7 nice keepers between them. Had managed to wrangle the big fish of the day around 13 lbs. After a tough morning on the edge of the mud hole with horrifying anchoring conditions, we moved a couple miles inshore to a small snag and bailed out the day. For the second time this week Ron Long was one of the two high hooks on the boat with 7 large fish most of which were 3-6 lbs with one fish around 8 lbs. Joe Resguccia also had 7 keepers and a slightly larger fish approx. 9 lbs. Both anglers only kept their limit releasing the rest. Tony Cavilaro, who's been a frequent fisherman in the last couple weeks, held up his end nicely and caught his limit, with 4 REALLY nice fish. Several other limits were caught with many being quality fish. All this action happened in 2 hours. I have openings every day, weather permitting, check out the open boat page for details. We had excellent fishing today, and the whole boat was limited out. The high hook and biggest fish were caught by Ron Long with 12 keepers, most of which were in the 3-5 lb. range, however his largest fish was about 10 lbs.Ron kept his legal limit and released the rest Mike Coppa had 6 keepers, with fish up to 6 lbs. Paul Ripperger also had 6 keepers up to 7 lbs. Tony Cavallero had 5 keepers up to 7 lbs, and Carl Zimmerman had 4 keepers up to 5 lbs. We will be sailing daily, weather permitting. Please call Capt. Toggin was excellent! Boat was limited out plus many keepers were released along with hundreds of shorts. Again Big Mike Coppa was high hook with 14 keepers - keeping his limit and released the rest. Scott madole and party also captured their limit and had the big fish of the day which weighed around 8 lbs. Today's blackfishing showed a sharp upturn from yesterday although yesterday's fishing was more than adequate. In other words today's fishing was excellent!! The whole boat was limited out with multiple keepers released and many fish over the 5-6 lb mark. Richard Wong had his limit and released fish up to 7 lbs. Nick Recanti had over his limit but only kept his 6 fish with his biggest arounf 9 lbs. Carl Zimmerman had the same with his big fish around 10 lbs. But the big star of the day was Chris Oprzadek. He boated 14 keepers only keeping his 6 with his biggest slightly over 12 lbs. We have openings friday saturday and sunday as well as next week call for info 732 803 6276

This morning the boat was limited out just before noon. High hook was Frankie Que. He has 12 keeper togs to 8.5 lbs - keeping his 6 and releasing the rest. Jeff Masters caught his limit with fish to 8 lbs and threw back keepers and shorts. Chris Myers also had his limit with fish around 8 lbs. Dan Kwasnik caught his limit with his big fish around 6 lbs. But the biggest fish of the day was caught by Lenny Rago which went around 11 lbs. He also caught his limit. I have openings all week and next weekend for both open boat and charter. Fishing was excellent today. High hooks were Charlie Rakovic with 10 keepers throwing back four and keeping his limit. Big Mike Coppa with about the same, both with fish over 6 lbs. Red Zisa for the first time limited out on togs and had a fish about 7 lbs. The big fish went to Al Fowzie who had a fish of about 9 lbs. There were several limits around the boat and many close to their limit. There were many throwbacks as well. I have openings all this week and next weekend. Today we limited the boat out early on nice big Blackfish and threw many keeper fish back as well as almost 100 shorts. We had excellent action all day!! Peter Morales had his limit with fish up to 8 LBS and threw many keepers back. Carl Zimmerman limited out on fish up to 7 LBS and also threw back many keepers. Chris Oprzadek caught his limit of fish up to 8 LBS and also released many keepers. Dan O'Brien has his limit threw quite a few keepers back and had three huge fish in a row of 10 LBS, 9 LBS and 8 Lbs. Dave Salvatore caught his limit with fish uo to 7 LBS and threw several keepers back. Captain Ray Burke also caught his limit and the mate Billy Boardman also had his limit of fish. We had excellent fishing today with many limits. High hook was Big Mike Coppa. He caught 10 keepers, keeping his 6 and releasing the rest. Greg Puzio had his limit including a 9 pounder, but the big fish was caught by his friend Bruce DiNally who also caught his limit including a 10 1/2 pound tog. Captain Ray Burke Reports:
Thursday and Friday bottom fishing was on the slow side, so we targeted mainly striped bass. Thurs. Tony Aiello and charter boated 45 striped bass, many of which were keepers, but were released. Most of these fish were jigged, with fish up to 20 lbs. Yesterday David DiGennero and charter started out jigging striped bass with a reasonable amount of success and then switched to blackfishing midday. The blackfishing was poor. Today, however, was exactly the opposite. We started out jigging striped bass with shorts and several keepers and then went to blackfishing. Everyone that fished caught their limit of keepers plus keepers that were released. There were fish up to 8 lbs. Ed Rumsby is credited with 12 keeper blackfish, releasing 6. Dino Caualluzzi had 8 keepers, releasing 2, and a 12 lb striped bass. Nick Koteiski had 2 keeper stripers and boated 12 keeper blackfish, keeping 6 and releasing the rest. His blackfish were up yo 8 lbs. Keith Krokus also limited out on blackfish, keeping 6 and releasing several keepers, and had a 10 lb. bass. Dr. Roger Farr limited out on blackfish with a keeper striped bass. Carl Zimmerman also had his limit of blackfish up to 7 lbs and several short bass. Along with all of the keepers that were kept and released, there were quite a few short bass that almost made it and short blackfish too numerous to mention. All in all, it was a complete turn around from the last several days of slow blsckfishing. Today Dick Skinder and charter had over 40 bass. They kept their limit and released the rest. The majority were caught by Dick himself. This is some of the best bass fishing of the year. Yesterday 11/2/09 Dick Skinder and charter limited out, throwing back keepers as well as smaller fish. Dick himself had about 14 fish, keeping his limit and releasing the rest. His largest fish was about 20 lbs. Today we had an open trip that was limited out and bonused by 12:30. There were numerous undersized fish and keepers released. 10/26 Dick Skinder and Charter limited the boat out with bass up to 20 LBS! Dick himself had 6 bass including the biggest. There were shorts and several keepers thrown back.
10/25 We jigged bass and bluefish the largest bass being caught Bob Penci weighing in at 16 LBS. and Todd Weiner and party limited out on porgies up to 3 LBS and caught a good number of large seabass up to 5 LBS. We have been bottom fishing all week with Fantastic results! We have the best porgie fishing in years with fish up to 3 1/2 LBS coming over the rails! 10/10 Gary totash and charter jigged blues and stripers in Sandy Hook Bay netting 4 keepers and many Bluefish up to 15 LBS. 10/11 Gino Amante and charter had a tremendous catch of seabass and porgies. 10/12 John J Grecco and charter had an excellent catch of seabass and porgies. 10/13 Dick Skinder chartered the boat himself and had his limit in striped bass the largest hitting the scales at 20 LBS plus his limit of bluefish up to 17 LBS. After having a week of very good bottom fishing and bluefishing, concluding on Mon. with the return of Dick Skinder who whipped several dozen bluefish into submission on light tackle after recovering from some minor surgery. On Monday Big Mike Coppa and John Kundle from the Boys' and Girls' Club of America limited out on fluke. Many fish in the 3-4 lb bracket were caught. Both John and Mike boated many fish which were in the 5 lb bracket including John's big fish which was about 7 1/2 lbs Yesterday we were off. Today Sargent John Edwards of the Pa State Police and charter limited the boat out. No real big fish, but most keepers were 19-20 inches, plus over 100 throwbacks were released. Today Art Wendel and charter had an excellent day flukeing and sea bass fishing aboard the Mad Gaffer. James Coslezy had three keepers up to seven and a half pounds and twelve large sea bass. Last night Frank Chechico and charter had an excellent afternoon jigging to largest bluefish of the year with fish up to eighteen pounds. Friday Robert Kapliss and charter had an excellent day of bottom fishing, catching multiple species - porgies, fluke sea bass and triggerfish not to mention bluefish. Several large bluefish were apprehended by Capt. Sylvia Irwin who tagged along and was bored with the bottom fishing. Sat. Angelo Camapinta and charter went fluke fishing and had 23 keeper fluke up to 5 lbs. Sun. we had an open trip with poriges, sea bass and blackfish. We experienced 'old time' porgy fishing. Many people on the boat caught their limit, which very large and over 150 large sea bass were caught as well. Big Mike Coppa was probably high hook with a limit of porgies, a limit of sea bass, and several blackfish. This Morning we had Ralph debray and his family on the boat with 5 anglers and we had 20 keeper fluke up to 5 1/2 pounds and many throwbacks that were very close to legal size. This afternoon we have out Paul Fine and his charter of 6. They have 14 keeper fluke up to 4 1/2 pounds and a nice catch of cocktail bluefish. The 2 largest fluke were caught by John Markert age 10 at 4 1/2 pounds and the second biggest fish was caught by Tyler Fine age 9 at 4 1/4 pounds. Fluking has taken an upturn in the past few days! Fluke fishing was just fair today. It was a beautiful day, but there was a little to much wind to drift over wrecks. We still managed to catch wquite a few keepers and some nice fish. Brandon Orvellio age 9 caught the big fluke, 6 1/2 lb and several other fish. Frank Que also caught a fish over 5 lbs, and several other fish in the 5 lb bracket were also boated along with other keepers. Yesterday's AM trip targeted stripers. Dick Skinder caught his limit in stripers up to 20 lbs. In the PM trip Fran Que chartered the boat and he we caught no stripers, but a huge catch of keeper fluke. The boat was almost limited out. This morning's fluke trip started on an excellent note with numerous keepers, but when a 25-30 mph wind came up out of the south the drift became so fast that we could not hold bottom and we were forced to finish up in shallower water with smaller fish. We left the dock early this morning and had a very slow morning bass fishing, with only a few jumbo bluefish boated. We left that and went fluking for a while and wound up with some very nice fluke. We boated about a dozen keepers, all of which were in the 3-6 pound bracket with very few shorts. Several huge ling, in the 5 pound bracket were boated while fluking. We finished uo the trip by going bass fishing in the early afternoon with an excellent result.Ralph Notarmaso boated the first one, about 32 pounds. Carl Zimmerman caught his limit, both fish over 25 lbs, with the biggest being 35 lbs. Bucky Rocco caught his limit. His biggest fish was over the 30 lb. mark. Bob Fentamore boated a fish in the 25 lb bracket. The biggest fish was boated by Frankie Que, approximately 38 lbs. We had an open trip this morning. We totally overshot the fish, finding them in the early afternoon right back in Sandy Hook Bay. We had striped bass and jumbo bluefish on bunkers. Two of the biggest were caught by bi Mike Coppa. This afternoon's trip was a different story. We stay local and caught fish all afternoon and evening. Mark Fornaciani's charter had a good catch of stiped bass and jumbo blues. Ms. Alex Humphries, age 16, had three nice bass, the largest of which was 17 lbs. This morning's trip was not that fruitful. We only took four keeper bass and we had to resort to bottom fishing and fluking for the rest of the day, as the traffic became unbearable. This afternoon was a different story. Rich Rosileo and charter limited the boat out with large striped bass. Several fish were over 20 lbs, with the biggest being 35 lbs, caught by Rich's son Jay Rosileo. It was his first striped bass! Todays fishing was excellent we starting by jigging Bluefish in the Bay. The bluefish action was great and the fish were the perfect size to eat 2 1/2 to 3 LBS. Then we drifted behind the clam boat catching stripers a few nice fish were boated John McGraff had one about 16 LBS, John Fessock had his limit of 2 nice Bass in the 10 - 15 LB bracket. The biggest fish was boated by Big Mike Coppa aproximately 25 LBS. We finished the day off bottom fishing and had a limit of nice sea bass! Mike Coppa big star again included in his limit of sea bass were several fish in the 3 LB bracket. Today's fishing was a steady pick. We boated around 30 striped bass for 6 people and a lot of bluefish with a fairly good keeper ratio. The largest bass was caught by Harry Sanpetis and was about 22 lbs. He also had another keeper and several shorts. Richie Cunningham also had his limit, scoring two large bass and several shorts as well as bluefish. Frankie Que had his limit with one fish being about 20 lbs and severalo shorts. Todays fishing started out jigging numerous amounts of bluefish were caught and a few short striped bass. We tried clamming with no success, in the afternoon on the incoming tide we moved north and anchored up and immediateley started to pick Striped Bass. In two hours time 6 people boated over 35 Bass keeping their limit and releasing the rest. Chris Lin first time bass fishing, caught 8 fish keeping 3 with a bonus tag up to 17 LBS. Tim Wong also first time bass fishing caught 5 fish keeping his limit of 2 fish. Frankie Que who was the big star catching 8 Bass keeping 3 with a bonus tag biggest being 25 LBS. Saturday's fishing was excellent. Greg Rottet and his charter limited out, throwing keepers back with quite a number of bluefish as well. Pool winner was Don Smith, age 82, and one of the high hooks with fish up over 20 lbs. Don also boated quite a number of bluefish. Doctor Mike Carrol of Allentown, PA and the rest of his charter had another excellent Friday trip!! Boat was limited out and Bonus Tagged out, fish up to 24 LBS were caught. Mike being the high hook with 6 keeper Bass and 4 shorts, kepping his two fish limit with a bonus fish and releasing the rest. Many keepers as well as shorts were released even the shorts were almost keeper size fish. Fantastic fishing! We were limited out by 10 AM. Lots of big fish, with the biggest fish caught by Carl Zimmerman, Frankie Que and Ralph Notarso, who caught 10-15 bass, keeping their limit and releasing the rest. The fish were 15-20 lbs. 04/28 We caught a number of keepers and released quite a few shorts. Fish were up to 12 LBS.
04/29 We saw a marked improvement in the fishing today, the boat was limited out with much larger fish! Bluefish were also caught. Doctor Bill Fromkin was high hook with 14 fish 4 of which were large. He kept his 2 and released the rest one keeper was 14 LBS and the other 23 LBS. Jerry Jerard besides catching his limit in striped bass, boated a winter flounder 4 1/2 LBS taken on a 6/0 hook on a whole clam!! We made it out today despite very miserable conditions! We caught the Bass really well on the incoming tide and even had a few limit catches on board. Ron Long caught about 12 fish including a limit catch and Lew Gianini caught about eight fish and between 6 anglers there were about 50 Bass landed. We are pleased with the improved fishing and look forward to a very good Bass season. The water cooled off and fishing has been a little bit slower. Both Fri and Sun we were out, and we had a reasonable amount of fish considering what was caught by other boats. Both days we had somewhere in the neighborhood of 25 fish on the boat and both days the blackfish were relatively large, several fish being in the double digits. Yesterday Charlie Rakovic had the largest fish at 12 1/2 lbs. We got out Sat., Sun. and Mon. Fishing Sat was excellent. Mark Dumbrowski and his charter were limited out with fish up to 10 lbs. Sunday's fishing left something to be desired. A large southerly swell and poor conditions only yeilded about 20 fish. But today saw a dramatic change in the fishing. We limited the boat out with all big fish. Charkie Rakovic caught 8 big fish, keeping his limit and releasing the rest, up to 10 lbs. Carl Zimmerman caught his limit with fish up to 8 lbs. Mik Coppa caught 10 keepers, fish up to 12 lbs, keeping his limit and releasing the rest. The high hook was Frankis Que with 15 keepers up to 11 lbs. He kept his limit and released the rest. Most fish today were between and 3-5 lbs. average, with many being in the 7-8lb bracket and at least 5 were over 10 lbs. I am sailing daily, weather permitting and have openings. Today's fishing was excellent. The entire boat limited outA lot of fish were in the 4-7 pound bracket, along with several 10 pounders. The big fish, however, was caught by Mark Atlas, about a 12 1/2 pounder. Mark Holland had his limit including several large fish. Hank Kuhn along with his 7 year old son had quite a few large fish. Abe Berren caught 10 keepers, keeping his limit and releasing the rest, up to 7 `/2 pounds. After Sun and Mon's massacre fishing Tuesday was a bit of a letdown. Despite 40 mph winds in the AM and poor laying conditions, Abe Berren managed to catch 9 keepers,keeping his limit and throwing the rest back, including a 12 pounder which came on a double header along with another 4 pounder. Abe also bagged an 8 pounder earlier in the morning. In the afternoon the wind laid down and fishing became better. We stayed late and managed to catch another 25 fish. We are hoping to return to deeper water on Fri. Anyone who was fishing on the Mad Gaffer on Sat 12/28 or Sun 12/29 Zplease check your tackle. An excellent day today with fish up to 13 lbs. Both Charlie Rakovic and Big Mike Coppa had about 12 keepers each, keeping their limit and releasing the rest. Each one had a fish over 10 lbs. Mike's friend Glen had his limit, and 4 of the fish were over 8 lbs and one was about 13 pounds. Many anglers on the boat had their limit or close to it and many large fish were boated along with a nice showing of ling. Captain Ray Burke Reports:
We had a very nice catch of big fish including a good showing of ling towards the end of the day. People that caught their limits were: Lenny Lago, who caught his limit, released the rest, with fish up to 8 lbs, Matt Cordoba and his son Matt had fish up to 6 lbs, Tom Holland had 8 keepers, keeping his limit and releasing the rest with fish up to 7 lbs. High hook on the boat was Abe Berren with 12 keepers, keeping his limit and releasing the rest with fish up to 8 lbs. Matt Cordoba's friend John has several nice fish including a fish that was about 12 pounds. We fished a little deeper yesterday and also had people with 3 or 4 ling. I have openings daily including New Year's Eve when we will be leaving at 6 AM and returning at about 2 PM and New Year's Day when we will be leaving at 8 AM. Fishing was very good today. Mirek, a regular on the boat, had his limit plus threw three fish back, with fish up to 5 lbs. Bill Zack and his friend had their limit and released several keepers with fish up to 5 lbs. Rich O'Rourke also limited out and had a fish about 8 lbs. Big Mike Coppa was the high hook with a dozen keepers, keeping his limit and releasing the rest, with fish up to 7 lbs. I have spots open next week as well as tomorrow, Sat. Fishing was excellent today. Frankie Qui and Lenny Rago each caught 15 keepers, keeping their limit and releasing the rest. Frankie had the big fish today, around 12 1/2 pounds. Lenny had a fish around 10 pounds, and each had several other larger fish. Carl Zimmerman caught his limit with an 8 pounder and several other large fish. Excellent fishing today. Lots and lots of shorts and fish all of the way up to 14 lbs. Micha Grasso caught his limit plus released several keepers. Micha boated a fish 11 lbs and had several fish in the 5 and 6 lb bracket. Mirek, a regular on the boat, had his limit and scored a 12 ponder and a 9 pounder plus several other nice fish. Yesterday Big Mike Copa and friends chartered the boat, several of which never fished for blackfish before. We had 8 anglers who managed 40 keepers. Despite extra cold and windy weather, Big Mike was the star, boating 15 keepers, keeping his limit and releasing the rest. He had a 10 pounder an 8 pounder and a pair of 6 pounders to his credit. The others had 3-5 fish each, some in the 6-7 pound range. Sat. we limited the boat out with 12 anglers. Rich O'Rourke had his limit and several nice fish. Al Moretti had his limit plucs released several keepers, with a 10 pounder to his credit. Bob Craney had his limit and released several fish. Another excellent day of fishing today. The boat was limited out and many keepers were released. Mirek Saela and his partner Vladimir Clelba caught about 12 keepers each, keeping their limit and releasing the rest. Both had fish that were over 10 pounds. Vladimir had one he could not stop. Richard Wong, back again for the third time this week, also again the high hook, boated 15 keepers, keeping his limit and releasing the rest, and again had the largest fish at 12+ pounds. Blackfishing was excellent today. Boat was limited out and we threw numerous keepers back. Steve Kosinski and his buddy Dennis Ackerman caught their limit and released several keepers, scoring fish up to 8 lbs. John and his father George Mingalone both caught their limit and released keepers. Both scored fish in the 10 lb bracket. Mr Lee and Mr. Kim both limited out plus threw keepers back, with fish in the 8 lb bracket. Richard Wong and Charlie Rakovic were our high hooks. Both scoring 14 keepers, each scoring a 10 pounder, keeping their limit and releasing the rest. Big Mike Coppa scored around 10 keepers, keeping his limit and releasing the reset. The weather was exceptionally beautiful. The sea was flat calm and fishing was phenomenal. We were totally limited out and released numerous keepers of all different sizes. Eugene Balastario and six of his friends limited out and three of four of them had never fished for togs before. John Hetzel caught his limit and released a few keepers. Mirek Staczket and tow of his friends caught a number of large fish up to 10 lbs. Abe Berren was our high hook catching about 16 keepers, keeping his limit and releasing the rest, with a fish over 12 lbs. I have openings for all next week and there after. Today's fishing was excellent.We limited the boat out and released many keepers, fish up to 10 lbs. Ed Rumsby caught his limit and released four keeper, fish up ti 8 lbs. Larry Jellinek, first time togger, had an 8 pouinder, a 6 pounder, and released several large fish. John Mellnick had his limit and released deveral big fish. Greg and Fred Moench were high hookd. Each caught about 20 keepers, keeping their limit and releasing the rest, with fish up to 10 pounds. Captain Ray Burke Reports:
Since Monday fishing has been excellent. We have limited the boat out every day. Catches of big fish were scored by Charlie Rakovic, Richie Wong, Carl Zimmerman and Ken Martinez. Most have caught more than their limit and released those over the limit. Wed.'s trip was slightly more remarkable. The prior trips were all with skilled anglers; people who fish for blackfish all of the time. On Wed. Dan Suchovic chartered the boat for his family, most of which had never blackfished before. His father and brother, being from out of state caught shorts all day. The fishing was picky in the morning, but they hung in there all day and honed their skills. When the fishing got good in the afternoon, they were ready. Dan's 11 year old son Matt scored most of the big fish, including an 8 and a 6 pounder, proving that anybody who pays attention can blackfish. We had the Joe Patskanick charter out today with his crew of Ironworkers. The charter easily had it's limit of nice Blackfish and played catch and release for the last couple of hours. The highlight of the trip had to be 11 year on Tristian Staniszewski standing at the rail the entire day and landing 13 keepers up to 10 LBS with about 17 shorts mixed in, his Father Christian did well landing about 11 Keepers, keeping his limit and releasing the rest. (Tristian had his limit by 9:30 in the morning) We have openings for Monday and Tuesday this week and will sail 5:30 to 1:30 on Thanksgiving. Call 732-803-6276 for a reservation.

Captain Ray Burke Reports:
We moved the boat from the Highlands to Shark River today and brought a few friends and crew along and fished two drops on the way back to the inlet. We had some good blackfishermen on the boat today including Richard Wang, Joe Cupcheck, Ron Long, Bill Boardmen and Chris Devoreaux. We actually on fished for a little over 2 hours and had a limit of nice Blackfish up to 9 LBS and caught many shorts and many other keepers that we released. Captain Ray Burke Reports:
11/18 Don Bilotti & his friend had 8 keeper Blackfish between them despite Don's friend being seasick all day. Carl Zimmerman caught 10 keeper size blackfish, keeping his limit and releasing the rest. Mike Coppa also landed about 10 Keeper size fish, keeping a limit and releasing the rest. Richard Wang was high hook with 12 keeper size fish and only keeping his limit as well. Despite rough seas, fishing was good and we were back to the dock early.
11/20 Todays fishing was fairly good, we landed about 50 keeper Blackfish for 12 fares despite very poor anchoring conditions. Ross Dale was back in the action today and was rewarded with 10 keeper size Blackfish of course keeping his limit and releasing the extra fish. We have openings for Sunday as well as all next week. We went blackfishing today and fishing was fantastic. We limited the whole boat out. Many keepers were released. Large fish were caught by Richard Wong, who caught an 8 1/2 pounder. Ross Dale had several large fish and released quite a few keepers, along with his buddy Art. Joe Conlon also caught several large fish up to 6 1/2 pounds and released many keepers. Captain Ray Burke Reports:
11/12 Bob Sariaric and family chartered the Mad Gaffer and had a day of jigging which included many bass mostly throw backs but managed 8 keepers. They had fantastic bluefishing with fish up to 17 LBS. For the day they caught well over 100 fish between the bass and blues.
11/14 George Pimeda and his employees limited out on Bass up to 30 LBS all together they boated about 90 fish, keeping only their limit and releasing the rest.
11/15 John Melnic and his small fishing club boated 91 bass and limited the boat out and then went home early with 14 keepers and released the rest.

We caught a lot of fish on clams this morning. We had in excessof 50 fish this morning on clams inshore, keeping only about 6 fish. After we lost the incoming tide we went offshore into the ocean and we finished by catching another 50 fish or so, and limited out the boat on clams and then jigs. We had Sonny Dipasquale caught 12 fish and kept 2, releasing the rest, along with several keepers. Bob Claire caught 7 fish and kept 2, Paul Schyckalo caught 20 fish, Ralpgh Petricone caught 17 fish and kept 2, releasing the rest and Jim Eglinton caught 28 fish and kept 2 up to 22 lbs. 8 of his releases were legal keepers. John Mingalcaic and his father George kept 4 fish and released 32 between them. There are openings for next Fi. Blackfishing and bassfishing will start with openings as of 11/17. Call Capt. Friday 10/31 Russ Wesheit and his charter had over 30 fish, many of which were on the small side. They wound up keeping 10 fish up to 22 lbs. Saturday's trip was with Rich Macgee and his party. They had 33 fish, 11 keepers up to 25 lbs. Today's charter, 11/2, was with Dennis Albronda and his party. 40 fish were caught, with 20 kept up 25 lbs. Capt Ray has openings for next week. As always on Thursdays, ick Skinder chartered the boat to fish alone for bass.His largest bass today was 28 lbs. Dick caught 38 fish keeping two fish, one at 21 lbs and the other at 20 lbs. Bob Brunish and friends chartered the Mad Gaffer today for striped bass. Bill Silverman scored the biggest fish of 27 lbs. However, Denise Quigley had one just a shade smaller and her daughter Natalie Chiliers had one that was over 20 lbs as well as five of six other bass. Her brother Steve Chiliers also scored about eight fish, two of which he kept and the rest were released. Paul Helmile scored a half a dozen bass and kept his limit as did Bob Brunish. Everyone on the boat caught there limit and released the rest, including quite a few keepers. In total 38 bass were boated. There are openings next week. Call Capt. We took out Robert Greer and his charter of a total of 12 people. They boated 58 fish and it only 11:30! Many fish were over 20 lbs, and many keepers were released. 14 year old Robert Greer Jr. boated two fish over 25 lbs. The big fish was caught by Jim Rubertone, in excess of 33 lbs. Dick Skinder chartered the boat again today, but today he brought his daughter Trudy. Together they boated over 40 fish. Both Trudy and her father got fish over 30 lbs, keeping their limit and releasing the rest. Many fish that were released were in the 15=25 lb bracket.Trudy boated the biggest fish. It was released and not weighed, but was estimated at 32-33 lbs. The apple does not fall far from the tree. Today was the best day of the Fall season for big fish. Astriped bass massacre!! Dick Skinder from West Orange joined the open charter today catching 13 bass up to 22 pounds. Dick kept his limit and released the rest. Mike Coppa caught 13 bass up to 23 lobs, keeping his limit and releasing the rest, Red Zisc , Jack Juiliano, Steve Jinski and Frank Rowe caught 11 bass each. Dick Skinder does it again! For the third time in as many weeks Dick has chartered the boat by himself and managed to catch 21 striped bass, keeping his 2, an 18 and a 17 ponder, releasing the rest. We started off the day in Sandy Hook Bay on an open trip. A group of four people headed by Big Mike Coppa of Wayne scored quite a few weakfish in the morning and later we fished wrecks and caught jumbo porgies, sea bass and blackfish. Big Mike was the high hook with 8 large blackfish, releasing 7 of them up to 7 1/2 lbs. and numerous large porgies. Dr. Mike the dentist also caught numerous blackfish, keeping one and releasing the rest, and an array of sea bass, porgies and weakfish. The ultimate high hook, however, was Capt Ray Burke who does not count, fishing for two hours and scoring about a dozen keeper blackfish. All but one was released, as well as 12 jumbo sea bass. Scott Madole of the Poconos and his charter caught weakfish this morning on jigs. They caught quite a few nice ones - several in the 6-7 lb area. When the tide subsided we went into the ocean and caught blackfish, sea bass and porgies as well as you could possibly catch them. Many porgies in the 2 1/2 lb range and several blackfish up to 8 lbs. Blackfish were plentiful. We kept our limit and released the rest. On the way home we saw stripers and jigged several of them. On 10/7 a three man charter Rocco Colyario of Denville, NJ and his party caught thier limit in stripers, the biggest one being 20 lbs. All fish were caught on clams. 10/8 Mark Huber and his party went bottom fishing, catching porgies and limiting out on blackfish. Mark and his lady friend Michelle, first time tog fishermen, took to it very well. Both catching and releasing many more than their limit, with fish up to 8 lbs. Michelle threatens that she will be back in Dec., foul weather gear on, red nail polish off to dig in when the limits increase. Eric Heiser and his charter had excellent bottom fishing with great numbers of porgies up to 3 lbs. and limited the boat out with blackfish, catching and releasing the over. Eric Heiser scored an 11 1/2 lb blackfish. Sunday we had an open boat. Tom Dobbek and his group of five were limited out on porgies and each caught a large blackfish, releasing the over. The high hook on the boat was Bill (Mush) Silverman with a catch of large porgies, keeping one 8 lb. blackfish and releasing quite a few others. Sun. afternoon's trip Alec Decosta took his father fishing for his birthday along with several others. They had a large catch of nice shad porgies until it got dark. Then we bass fished using clams. We caught several nice bass, the biggest being caught by Alex at 15 1/2 lbs. Today Michael Macknahurney and his charter caught their limit in striped bass and jigged numerous bluefish. The biggest was a 22 lb bass caught by Walter Palowski, Michael's brother-in-law. Our next open trip is Sun. and there are open trips and I am available for charter next week. Call Capt. Sat morning we had out Dr. Michael Chmielewski and his office staff. Fishing was slow but to our surprise we wound up boating several striped bass including two keepers by Rachael Shelly, office manager. Saturday's PM trip showed large improvement. Miguel Saron and his family scored 17 bass, 6 of which were keepers. Today Chief Warden and charter had the best day yet scoring over 55 fish and had 10 keepers. I have open days all of next week. Edgar Martinez and group had the boat chartered today for some fabulous bottom fishing!! They caught a ton of giant porgies up to 3 1/2 LBS and also had some very large blackfish up to 12 LBS. We started out this morning jigging. We caught several nice keeper bass and some throwbacks and a number of large bluefish. The rest of the day we were bottomfishing. We caught our limit in blackfish with each angler keeping one blackfish of 5 or more pounds. Charlie Rakovic caught 20 blaackfish and released all but one that was 8 lbs. Dr. Arnold Goldberg caught about 20 blackfish and released all but an 8 punder. Joe Aizisa had multiple togs, releasing all but a 7 pounder. Carl ZAimmerman the same, keeping one big one, and Bob Penci kept a 7 pounder and released a few, and Capt. Ray Burke caught the biggest fish, close to 12 pounds and released it. We had excellent porgie fishing, with porgies up to 3 pounds with no end of fish possible. There were also a few nice sea bass caught. Dennis Granis and his charter caught, bluefish, striped bass and sea bass very well on Sat. 9/13. They caught 4 bass and kept 2 as well as sea bass up to 4 pounds and bluefish up to 15 lbs. Sunday Keith Corrial and his charter jigged bluefish and stripers for 1 1/2 hours and then we went bottom fishing. They caught over 100 jumbo porgies, several large blackfish and about 20 keeper sea bass. Monday Eric McTencoe and his charter jigged bluefish and had a good catch of porgies, several keeper blackfish and some sea bass. Captain Ray Burke Reports:
Today bluefishing fell somewhat flat under poor conditions, so we decided to go bottom fishing. We caught some decent sized keeper sea bass, a few porgies and several large fluke. The highlight of the trip was some pre-season blackfishing. We took some Asian crabs with us and a few green crabs and caught quite a few large blackfish. Of course we released all but one per angler. Several anglers caught and released between 8 and 10 would-be keepers and the high hook was Carl Zimmerman who caught and released about 12 fish. He also had the largest fish at about 8 1/2 lbs. All in all we had a good day's bottom fishing and we kept our limit on blackfish - 1 fish per angler. After fluke season closes our open trips will be targeting bottom species-sea bass and porgies and trophy tog. We are also accepting charters for bluefish, striped bass and weakfish. Capt. Charles Wardan's charter caught a mix of fluke, sea bass and blackfish. Everyone caught and kept their one blackfish. There were several blackfish in the 6-7 pound range, quite a few were released and Charles Wardan had a 10 1/2 pounder. Tonight John McFadden's charter slaughtered the biggest kind of bluefish up to 15 lbs and caught and released two keeper stripers. The three man charter released at lease 45 big fish and kept the 10 they could use. Future bottom fish trips on the Mad Gaffer will target trophy blackfish as well as other species. Yesterday Mike Ingot had his limit including a 5 pounder. Gil Pain had his limit and a number of 3 pounders. There were 25 keepers for the five anglers aboard. We also jigged blues in the 2-3 pound range very well and caught a couple of stripers in the3 mix. Remember that this is the last hurrah for fluke. The season closes on Sept.7. Saturday 8/23 we had an open trip. We had a decent number of keepers and all of the fish were a good size. Don Marantz had three keepers, the biggest being 8 1/2 lbs. Rich Simone had a 5 pounder and a 3 pounder and two other keepers. Carl Zimmerman achieved four keepers, despite a rather large ground swell from the south. Today, Sun 8/24, we had Ed Marinin and his charter out. We had 18 keepers up to 5 1/2 lbs. and Charlie Rakovic had his limit. A good number of large sea bass were taken as well. We had John Murphy's charter out today. Six anglers boated 34 keeper fluke from legal size to 6 1/2lbs, with the majority of fish being over 20 inches. Mark Harris boated the 6 1/2 pounder and there were several other fish in the 5 pound bracket. Fluking is in its prime right now. I have openings for Sat. and next week. Call Capt. Yesterday Scott Kihm chartered the boat. His party caught major size bluefish, sea bass, and some very large fluke, although we only fished for fluke for a fluke for a short time. Rich the tree surgeon scored an 8 lb fluke and Dr. Mike the real surgeon caught a 9 1/2 lb fluke, and several other nice fish were caught as well. It was an excellent day for all. Yesterday we had James Han and his charter out. They wound up keeping 30 fluke up to 8 lbs and a dozen extra large sea bass. James boated an 8 lb fluke, however he lost a fish much larger on the surface that shook a 6 oz spro jig loose and shot through the air, landing smack in the mouth of Capt Ray Burke. Both James and the Captain were very upset; the fluke swam away happy. Capt. Ray is fine and has openings next week for both fluke and stripers. Call: 732 803-6276.

Gino Matinata chartered the boat with seven of his friends. They kept 12 striped bass and released 6 along with as many big bluefish as you could reel in. On the charter was Ryan Strelec and his father John who both caught keeper bass. Ryan, 13 years old, had his personal best, a bass a bass of about 14 lbs and his largest bluefish, also about 14 lbs, along with many other fish. I have openings Sun and next week, and next Sat. Yesterday we had an excellent day with fluke. Out of seven anglers five had their limit of fluke. Doug Dill of Manahawkin had his limit with four fish over five lbs. Rich Jarret of Old Bridge Twp. had a seven pounder, a five pounder and three fish that were over four pounds. Ted Bicksley of Manahawkin had the big fish - 8 1/2 lbs and several fish over five pounds, catching his limit of fluke. Dr. Tom Franscioso of Rye, NY had his limit and two of his fish were over five pounds. All in all we had an excellent day - the best fluking so far. There are openings for Sun and next week. Mad Gaffer had an excellent day bass fishing today with 10 keepers and 8 fish released, along with numerous 12-15 lb bluefish, sea bass, blackfish and fluke. Carl Zimmerman caught a 15 lb keeper, Horst Sodmann had a 12 keeper, Dr. Mike Chmielewski limited out with 2 bass 15-`8 lbs, Scott Kihm had a 15 lb keeper, Ric Kronenbittier limited out with 2 bass in the 15 lb bracket, Leigha Nest limited out with a bass around 20 lbs and her father had a keeper as well, and Ralph Notarmasso had 3 bass, 1 of which was released, o1 at 12 lbs and 1 at 22 lbs. The Robert Greer charter consisting of nine people had an excellent day. They had huge bluefish of which they kept 50 and released that amount again and more. They had many keeper sea bass. We fished for blackfish with crabs and kept our limit and released numerous keepers and larger fish that still had roe. The largest fish were taken by Capt Ray Burke. They were about 9 1/2 and 7 1/2 lbs plus Ray had 12 others. All were large roe fish and were released. One striped bass was taken by Capt. Ray on a blackfish rig. We have openings for next week. We had great fishing on bunkers today. There were all the big Bluefish you could handle up to 15 LBS. We also caught some nice bass. Sam Hassmie had 2 keepers, Andy Saerini caught a nice keeper, Bob Pensci caught a nice 20 LB Bass, Ralph Noarmaso of Westfield Caught 2 keepers one at 30 inches and the second tipping the scales at 25 LBS and finally, John Hatzel caught a keeper bass. Captain Ray Burke Reports:
Today we had a three man charter. Tony Aiello boated 7 bass up to 30 lbs, keeping a 30 and 28pounder and releasing the rest. Scott Kihm caught his limit of stripers. Dr. Michael Chamielewski caught his limit of stripers. We also limited the boat out with blackfish - catching thirty fish, keeping one fish each, and releasing the rest. The mate, Bill Boardman caught a 6 lb blackfish. We had a very large number of shad porgies up to 2 1/2 lbs and all of the 8 and 10 lb bluefish that you wanted. We kept a dozen and released at least forty fish. Fishing was fantastic with action all day. The bluefish bit on bunkers all day and on jigs in the afternoon. The porgies and blackfish were caught in the course of the day while we were bass fishing, providing continuous action. Capt Ray has spots open for this week and next week as well. Friday Ralph Notomasso and his friends chartered the Mad Gaffer. They caught 7 stripers and approximately twenty big bluefish. Dave, a member of the charter, had 3 bass, releasing one and John caught a 21 pounder. Saturday the boat was fluke fishing, achieving 14 keeper fluke along with about 60 throwbacks. Yesterday we had an open trip and we fished for fluke, sea bass and blackfish. We had fluke up to 6 lbs, along with several other nice keepers. There were a few large sea bass and we limited the boat out on blackfish - one per angler. Capt Ray Burke caught the biggest, which was 9 lbs. The Mad Gaffer had an open trip today and Lou Santo and his four friends Nick, Angelo, Gerard and Frank all scored nice bass on bunkers. These were the first keeper bass that Lou and Angelo had ever caught. Ralph DaBook and Abe Beren both scored limits. One of Abe's fish was around 25lbs. No shorts were caught; all fish were keepers, about 10-20 lbs on average. Afterwards we enjoyed an hour and a half of decent fluke fishing to top off our catch. Mark Slawson chartered the boat today and him and his group had their limit of Bass up to 25 LBS. When they got their Bass, we went and drifted for fluke for a while and caught 10 nice keeper fluke up to 4 1/2 LBS. To top the day off we had thousands of large Black Drum around the boat and deckhands Alex Binder and Charlie Wacovic each caught a fish over 100 LBS. We released one fish and kept the other. Capt Ray's boat left this morning at 5am, with open reservations on his boat, He is reporting as of 12 noon today. "The Boat is limited out on Big Striped Bass" Roy Fafner catching his limits, with his largest Bass being 24 lbs. Eric Thompson caught 2, one at 18 lbs. and the other at 20 John Spanitz also caught his limits and had one over 20 lbs Jeff Markwotiz had 2 one at 16lbs and the other at 17 Richard Wang caught his limits , had 3 Bass 15, 19 and 26 lbs. We jigged up multiple Bass today with gorilla blues all over the place. Some of the bluefish were over 18 LBS. Braden Niper had a 38 LB Bass and lost an even bigger fish at the boat!!. We tried a little fluke fishing for the last hour and landed several nice keeper fluke including a nice 5 LB fish caught also by Braden Niper who obviously had the hot hand today!! We had Dick Skinder out this morning and he caught his limit of Bass with two of them being in the 40 LB class. This afternoon we had Jack Deminsky out who is a police officer and also an active reservist going to Iraq. This was his going away party and they were treated to scores of huge Bluefish up to 15 LBS and they also landed 14 Bass up to 25 LBS. We appreciate Jack's efforts to defend our freedom and wish him and all of our troops safety in Iraq. We started getting huge bluefish almost instantly after catching all of the blues we could handle, we made a move and caught a few short bass and managed a few keepers up to 20 LBS. It was a beautiful day on the ocean for February! We fished some spots we haven't fished in a while today. There were no anchoring conditions early, but by the time we got to the second drop the south wind picked up enough to get on the spot. The blackfish were certainly there!! Ron Long caught 5 of the 6 keepers he landeded on that spot, none of which needed to be measured and were up to 6 LBS. Charlie Racovic got 4 keepers for the day and a nice ling. There were scattered keepers amongst the rest of the fisherman on the boat. The fish are still around and we hope to get out on the weekends if the weather holds out!! Lou DeMartini had several blackfish one of which was 11 1/2 lbs. Chris Garone had an 8 pounder and several other blackfish. Rick Minter had a 7 pounder and several other fish as did Mark Murray. Charlie Kripendorf had a blackfish about 10 1/2 LBS. Art Hydorn had five Blackfish with the following weights 5, 5, 7.5, 8, and 9 LBS the extra blackfish was released unharmed. Carl Zimmerman scored 3 nice tog a few ling and a codfish. The fishing would have been better without the south wind and tide. Despite awful conditions and rough weather Abe Beren managed to catch six nice keepers up to 7 1/2 pounds. Charlie Rokovic also managed six keepers. Richard Wong had his limit and also a fish around 11 1/2 ponds. Tony Cavallero caught his limit as well with fish up to 5 pounds. A few other fish were caught by other fishermen as well. We had very good fishing on edge of mudhole. Charlie Rakovick and Joe Zeza caught 6 keepers each and Joe had a nice codfish as well. Abe Beren had 6 keepers and most of the other fishermen caught at least a few nice fish. Capt. Ray had 6 keepers up to 14 1/2 pounds himself. All shorts and fish over the limit were released unharmed.

Tony Cavalara of Flemington had 16 keeper blackfish today up to 7 LBS and released all but his 4 fish limit. Abe Baren of Staten Island managed to boat 10 Keepers up to 5 LBS keeping only his limit. Dennis Mokener of PA and his group had a nice catch of fish!! Dennis had fish up to 10 LBS and between the other guys in his group they managed a few fish over 7 LBS. Captain Ray even dropped his line and caught his limit of blackfish. Ray said he will continue to sail throughout the winter as long as the weather and fishing holds out. We had a great day of fishing on the last day of the year!! Charlie Racovic had 20 keepers and Richie Wang had 16 Keepers, each kept their limit and released the rest to fight another day. The whole boat had a limit of nice tog up to 10 LBS with many fish in the 3-5 LB range and several 6-8 LB Blackfish. Abe Beren was high hook with 8 keepers and 7 releases of fish up to 5 lbs. J.,J Howell caught his limit with fish up to 8 lbs. We had BIG FISH today!!! John Debonar from the fisherman magazine had his limit of fish up to 8 LBS. Al Morette had a limit of Blackfish with several fish over 6 LBS. Matt Zmuda had a limit catch along with 3 fish in the 6 - 7 LB range. Bill Hoblitzell caught over his limit including three huge fish at 8, 10, and 11 LBS. We had a steady pick of Blackfish today on The Mad Gaffer II. Charlie Rakovic had 16 keepers and his buddy Joe Ziza caught at least 9 keepers. John Toth after a slow start ended up with the top 3 fish on the boat with a 6 LB, 8 LB and 10 LB fish. Ron Long got his limit and busted off two huge fish. We went out with 5 anglers who decided to brave the cold for some great Blackfishing. Charlie Racovic landed over 20 keepers up to 5 LBS and Pete caught close to as many blackfish and also had some nice ling up to 3 1/2 pounds. I would say that we landed at least 100 keeper blackfish keeping our 40 fish limit and releasing the rest unharmed. Don't let the cold deter you from some of the best fishing of the year!! Big Mike chartered the boat today and the blackfish came to eat. The whole boat had a limit catch. Charlie Racovic actually caught 22 keepers and Big Mike caught 14 keepers. We had the Yancie Russel Charter out today for Blackfish and they cooperated nicely. We limited out on the Tog and there was bird life around, so we decided to jig a few bass and bluefish. We ended up limiting out on Striped Bass up to 15 LBS. This is really good fishing!! There was a late bite, so we stuck it out until 3:30 PM. We boated many nice Blackfish with a few in the 10 LB range. Charlie Racovick Caught 19 keepers up to 5 LBS, Tony Cavalaro had 18 fish up to 4 1/2 pounds and Gary Maledo had 14 Keepers including and 8 and a 10 LB fish. We set out to give the Blackfish a good try after a sloppy ocean yesterday. Carl Zimmerman had a great day catching 15 keepers up to 7 LBS. He kept his 8 fish limit and released the rest. We fished for Blackfish in the morning and the crew members who were not getting sick did very well on the blackfish with an average of 6 keepers each. We then came off the hook and chased the Bass and limited out the boat in less than 2 hours. We had really nice sized bass today with a couple being over 20 LBS. Fished all day with the wind blowing like crazy. Keepers were few and far between. Capt. Ray worked like crazy to get us on some keepers but the tog's wouldn't cooperate. One nice keeper about 4 LBS.

We have been catching Blackfish and Bass everyday this past week. The fishing doesn't get much better than it is right now. The blackfishing has really piked up since the water temperature has dropped and as a bonus there are bass everywhere. The crew of the Mad Gaffer braved the bad weather and stuck it out for some good Bass fishing!! When the tide changed in the afternoon the bite started with a vengance and the charter ended the day with over 40 Bass!! The largest was a little over 20 Lbs and we had 15 keeper size fish. This is just the start of the fall run and we expect a great season. Afternoon Trip: The Frank Chierchia charter limited out on Stripers with every fish tipping the scales at over 25 LBS. Many keepers were also released. The largest and most fish were caught by Anthony Chierchia who personally landed 6 big Bluefish and 6 nice Bass up to 34 LBS. We released four of Anthony's Stripers. Jason Hancock and his charter limited out on stripers up to 35 lbs and released many many keepers. They also caught bluefish up to 20 lbs. On 7/9 the Bob DiSimone charter caught their limit in fluke. Fluking has bounced back sharply. The three man charter had 25 keepers up to 5 lbs fishing in the ocean. 7/8 was an open trip for fluke. AM Trip Don Knight and family had several Bass and some big Bluefish, they switched to Fluking for last couple of hours and caught quite a few fluke up to 5 LBS. PM Trip Sal Margolly and family released 20 big bluefish. They also landed 34 bass up to 22 LBS. They released all but 2 of the Stripers. The bass seem to be on the afternoon bite lately. Dick Skinder and his party limited out on big Bass. Dick had 4 fish up to 28 LBS and his guest Rich Egbert (who never fished for bass before) had two fish up to 28 LBS. Rich's daughter Robin (a seasoned Bass Fisherman) also limited out with 2 nice fish. There were also several nice fish released. Ray told me that he has openings on Sunday JULY 1ST. AM Trip Stan Salinsky and his charter fished bunkers all day for bass and only caught 2 large bass 18 and 20 LBS and several bluefish. The charter stuck it out despite less than ideal fishing conditions. PM Trip Walt Grace party went out bluefishing and released over 100 fish. AM Trip The Murat Korogou charter went out for bluefish and fluke. They limited out on bluefish in 2 1/2 hours and then managed to score on 28 keeper fluke up to 4 LBS. PM Trip Chris Thomas and Friends went bluefishing at night and released a limit of bluefish and scored several keeper Bass up to 17 LBS. Call Ray for availability at 732-803-6276.

We had two charters on Saturday. On the morning trip, we had a dozen Bass up to 35 LBS on Bunker chunks. On the evening trip we had bass up to 30 LBS and huge bluefish up to 20 LBS. Richie Wang had a great day as usual, catching 20 keeper size fish releasing all but his limit of 8 fish up to 10 Lbs. Cynthia Taylor caught 20 keepers releasing all but her limit. Charlie caught his limit of fish to 10 LBS. Bob Murphy also caught a limit of nice fish. The boat was limited out and we played catch and release for a while. Richie Wang limited out on fish over 10 LBS. Dr. Bill Fromkin caught 20 keepers up to 9 LBS keeping 8 fish and releasing the others. Karl Zimmerman kept his limit and released more keeper size fish. Mad Gaffer is now back in Belmar for the remainder of the Blackfishing Season. After 50 Knot winds on Friday and slow fishing on Saturday, the Blackfish put on the feed bags today!!! An all out slaughter on the Blackfish today!! Richie Wang had over 25 keepers, he kept 8 and released several 10 + LB fish. Frank Paranini had 25 keepers, released several 10 Lb fish and one fish over 14 Lbs. Don Frankle caught 20 fish up to 11 LBS. The boat landed well over 10 fish over 10 LBS. and many other fish were in the 6 - 8 LB class. The fall blackfishing has not been this good in a while. Fishing was better today with a lot of large tog up to 10 Lbs Karl Zimmerman caught his limit and released 12 other nice fish. Big Mike had his limit and let many other fish go and Charlie had a limit catch of fish to 10 Lbs and released others. Great late fall blackfishing!!
