Capt. John De Mio reports:
Sunday mornings trip we were out in a heavy fog. After making the run to were we had good to excellent fishing all week we found it not safe to fish there. Hearing and watching on the radar boats going by us at high speed I could not take the chance of having a center console in my cockpit so we were on the move again. We made a couple of drops but it was not our day. We only had 1 bass and a couple of blues.
The bass fishing bounced back for us in the afternoon with a limit catch for the Chris Lyle charter. With better conditions than the morning we picked away at the bass. The last hour of the tide was the best. Clams were the bait of choice.

Back from PA again was Roger Cellner with a different group for the PM trip. With a very slow start it did not look good for us . We made 4 different drops and had a few blue fish and only 1 keeper and a slot fish. Then with the last hour of the flood tide the bass started to feed. The last 20 minutes we limited out the party of 5 and came home.

05/16/04
Capt. John De Mio reports:
The Sunday morning trip with Gary Root Charter was a mad dog bite from start to finish. All big fish were caught and slots were hard to find. Three big fish were released by Gary in the 28 to 30 lbs class. Most of the fish were in the 20 lb range. All limits were filled. Came home early. Good guys who like to release fish rather than keep trophy size bass.
