Had good blackfishing for the Ron Stroz charter from Colts Neck. We had a dozen
keepers to 5 pounds and twice as many shorts to keep the rods bending. We will be

Captain Derek Bielitz Reports:
Had the Andy Compton charter out this morning for the last trip of the
season. Stopping on birds for two hours in the morning produced 50 short bass on
jigs. Once we got settled in on the blackfish grounds, the bite was on, with the
charter easily reaching their 6 man limit with 36 keeper tog to 10 lbs being decked.
We would like to thank all of our customers for sailing with us this year and wish
everyone happy holidays and hope to see you all next year. We are already taking

Captain Derek Bielitz Reports:
The Pepe Lepre charter was out this morning for a combo bass/blackfish trip.
Stopping on birds working produced 3 keepers to 31 inches along with 30 shorts. Once
on the blackfish ground, the charter limited out with 36 blackfish to 8.5lbs,
releasing additional keepers and shorts. We will be running open boat combo trips
this coming Sat 12/5 and Sun 12/6 for bass/blackfish. Cost is $110 per person

Captain Derek Bielitz Reports:
Ran our open boat combo trip yesterday for bass and blackfish. A few stops on
the way to the blackfish grounds produced over 20 short bass and a few blues to 10
lbs on diamond jigs. Setting up on the blackfish grounds the crew put 21 keeper tog
in the boat up to 8 lbs along with over 30 shorts for the day. We will be running
open boat this coming Fri 12/4, Sat 12/5 and Sun 12/6. These trips will be 8 hour
combo bass/blackfish trips. Cost is $110 per person and includes all bait, tackle

Ran our open boat blackfish trip yesterday. Several drops produced a pick of
blackfish to 6 lbs, boxing 20 keepers and boating over 60 shorts. We will be running
open boat this coming Thursday, Thanksgiving morning from 6am to 11am for striped

Had the Andy Compton charter out this morning for some striped bass fishing.
Jigging in rough conditions produced 4 keeper bass to 14 lbs along with 20 shorts
and a few bluefish. We will be sailing open boat for stripers Thanksgiving morning
from 6am till 11am. Cost is $90 per person including tackle and tip for mate. Still

Took advantage of the weather today to get in a little blackfishing before
the blow. Several drops produced over 35 keeper blackfish to 7 lbs. Keeping our one
fish per man limit and releasing the rest. Numerous shorts were also landed. We

Our open boat striped bass trip this morning saw on and off bass fishing all
day. The crew wound up boating 5 keepers to 34" along with 15 shorts on both

Took the day to scout some blackfish. Bite started off slow this morning but
picked up as the day went on. Total for the day was 40 keepers to 6 lbs. Keeping our
one fish per person with the rest going back to fight another day. We also had over

The striped bass fishing has been very consistent the past few days with
limits to 15 lbs common. We will be hosting open boat trips on Sat 11/7 ans Sun 11/8

Had the Mark Kulik charter out this morning for some striped bass fishing.
The charter jigged and trolled 4 keepers for the day up to 13 lbs along with 18
shorts and a mess of bluefish to 10 lbs. Looks like the fall run is underway. Still

Had the Drew Mccoy charter out this evening before the weekend storm.
Drifting eels produced 4 keeper striped bass to 23 lbs along with a dozen shorts.
Looks like the fall bass run is starting and should only get better. Still have

Has the Dan Bryant charter out this morning in search of blufin tuna. It was
a slow day as the charter went 1 for 5 on blufins to 50 lbs along with a few
bluefish and false albacore. We still have several dates available through the fall

The Andy Compton charter was aboard this morning for some striped bass
fishing. Eeling produced one keeper striper at 18 lbs. The charter then jigged
around 50 blues to 10 lbs. We still have dates available in the fall for both

Several drops produced 60 porgies, a limit of blackfish to 4 lbs and over a dozen

Had the Lloyd Kass charter out this morning bluefishing. Running out to the
mud dump we were able to get the blues to 10 lbs coming quickly as soon as we got
the chum in the water. We still have some open dates available in October and

Ran a crew trip in the evening for striped bass. In a few hours we boated 6
keepers to 13 lbs and a short bass. We are now taking reservations for the fall bass

Fisher Price III will be running this coming Sunday 9/13 for bluefish.
Bluefishing has been very good with fish to 13 lbs being chummed. We are also now

Ran a crew trip offshore looking for some bluefin tuna. We successfully went
3 for 5 on bluefins to 75 lbs. We were able to both troll and jig these fish. We are
now offering inshore tuna trips to our schedule. We still have openings for fluke,

Al Wittzell and friends were aboard in the afternoon for some fluking.
Fishing was very slow overall with several shorts and only a few keepers being
boated. All fish were caught on bucktails tipped with smelt. Still have several

fishing with the crew only boating several short fluke. The Kevin Brandon party was
aboard in the afternoon and saw an improvement in the fluke fishing boating a few

Ran an open boat fluke trip today. Bouncing bucktails on rough bottom
produced 15 keeper fluke up to 7.5 lbs along with several sea bass and many shorts.

Left a little late this morning. A two man crew boated 11 keeper fluke to 7
lbs along with many shorts. All the fish were caught working bucktails. We will be

Fished down the beach again today on some rough bottom. Drifting bucktails

Manny Vidal and friends were out this morning for a slow pick of fluke.
Unfortunately the party had no keepers come aboard but the kids had plenty of short
action. The Don Picot charter was back out in the afternoon boating several fluke

Had the Ed Malgrew charter out today. Started looking around for a few
stripers. Only able to boat one keeper to 16lbs the crew deceided to finish the day
fluking. In a short time the crew managed to boat 5 keepers to 5 lbs drifting rough
bottom. We will be running deepwater fluke trips through July and August and will

to 21 lbs on chunked bunker.. Tom Nastasi and family were back on the grounds in
the afternoon for another limit catch of stripers. The group limited out with 10
bass while releasing another 6 to 34 lbs.

The Joe Hudak charter was aboard this morning for a slow pick of stripers to
18 lbs. A brief stop on some rough bottom on the way home resulted in several sea
bass to 3.5 lbs and 2 keeper fluke to 4 lbs. The Sal Martelli party was aboard in
the afternoon for some more bunker chunking limiting out with stripers to 38 lbs.
We are currently accepting charters for July, August, and Sept for bluefish, fluke,

Tom Bissell and friends were aboard this morning and experienced tough bass
fishing only boating several bluefish to 9 lbs. Making a brief stop on some rough
bottom on the way home they boated seabass to 3 lbs and a keeper fluke.

striped bass to 20 lbs with all the bluefish they could handle up to 12 lbs. Dennis

only landing a few bluefish to 10 lbs on live bunker.

Ran and open boat trip in the mornig boating 4 bass to 32 lbs on live bunker.
The Jim Mayrosh party was out with us in the afternoon for a total of 21 striped
bass up to 30lbs. All fish were caught on live bunker.

chunking. The charter had to deal with a screaming tide, but managed to boat three

only boating a few bluefish to 10 lbs.

bass to 25lbs. They also had all the bluefish to 12 lbs that they could handle. We

Had out the Nate Attanasio charter this morning. After getting our bunker, we
got set up and it didnt take long to get them started. Limited out keeping 6 bass to
28lbs. In addition they released another 12 bass and countless bluefish. We still

Had out the Rocky Rugerrio charter in the morning. They limited out on
striped bass to 16lbs while releasing an additonal 15 fish. The Scott Yandle
charter was aboard in the afternoon for another limit of striped bass to 18lbs while

Had the Manny Vidal charter out this morning. Headed up to romer and as soon
as the lines hit the water it was non stop action. Limited out by 8 am with 8
keepers to 14 lbs while releasing another 25 stripers. Still have a few dates

wind against tide, but finally got them going. Limited out with striped bass to 14

soon as we came tight on the anchor, we had bluefish and stripers on till we ran out

Managed to catch 61 ling to 4 lbs, 8 keeper blackfish to 6 lbs, and over two dozen
