Bounty Hunter Sportfishing

2007 Fishing Reports

07/30/07
Captain Paul reports:
Capt. Paul had the Brad Fletcher charter on board the Bounty Hunter for a Bluefish/Fluke Combo trip. We were the first to arrive at the Mud Buoy and the area was alive with Blues everywhere. Anchored in 55 ft. the bite was non stop. The 4 man charter had over 60 bites in the first two hours and kept 4 Blues while releasing the rest. We left the Blues biting and headed back to the area of the Sea Girt Reef where we finished up yesterday. Working in 45 to 55 ft. the group put 9 keeper Fluke in the boat along with a couple of Seabass. Another 30+ short Fluke were released. August Fluke and Blue dates are still available. Don't miss the boat. Call 732-323-8700 to reserve your day.

07/29/07
Captain Paul reports:
The Barry Meier charter was on board the Bounty Hunter and Capt. Paul made his way out to the Sea Girt Reef. Drifting in a zero visibility fog with no wind did not keep the Fluke from biting. The charter landed 16 keepers with the largest comming in at 6 3/4 lbs. Over 25 shorts were released. In addition to the Fluke 19 keeper Seabass and 1 Bonita were added to the catch. Days in August for Blues & Fluke are still available. Call today to reserve your day. 732-323-8700.

07/28/07
Captain Paul reports:
The Werner Sprie charter was on board the Bounty Hunter and Capt. Paul ran out to the area around the Sea Girt Reef. Drifting in 45 to 55 ft. we could only manage a slow pick on the Fluke. After a day of drifting we had 11 keepers up to 4 lbs. and had released over twice that many shorts. Mixed in with the Fluke were the occasional Seabass. The charter kept a 1/2 dozen and released over 12 more that were short. August days are still available for Fluke and Bluefish. Don't miss the boat. Call 732-323-8700 to reserve your day.

07/27/07
Captain Paul reports:
The Mike Wilczewski charter was on board the Bounty Hunter and Capt. Paul ran up to the Mud Buoy. The reads were solid and we had our first Blue in the boat within minutes. The group had a steady pick on the Blues putting 26 up to 10 lbs. in the box and releasing over 25 more. By mid morning we were on our way into the area off Monmouth Beach to give the Fluke a try. The bite was slow with only a few shorts and Skates. Working our way south we finally boated 4 keepers off Long Branch along with a handful of Seabass. I still have a few days open in August for Blues and/or Fluke. Give me a call at 732-323-8700 to book your day.

07/18/07
Captain Paul reports:
Capt. Paul had the Gordon Price charter on board the Bounty Hunter and headed east to the edge of the Mud Hole. The Blues were scarce and it took a while to gather them up under the boat. It was not the fast action typical of Blues but good enough for the charter to put 26 fish in the box and release a few. We started in to try for Fluke off Mantoloking but then the rain came. The charter fished in the downpour with out weather gear and got soaked. They landed a ton off Skates,5 short Fluke and 1 keeper a big 7 3/4 pounder. That's when we called it a day. July and August are fluke & Blue months. Book your next charter on the Bounty Hunter. "A Proven Fish Producer" Call 732-323-8700.

07/14/07
Captain Paul reports:
Capt. Paul had the Joe Miceli charter on board the Bounty Hunter and headed 25 miles off shore to get in on the hot Bluefish action. It only took a few minutes to get the fish in the slick and the 6 man charter had non stop action. When we called it a day at noon there were over 100 Blues landed with 3 dozen going into the fish box and the balance released. I am now booking Bluefish & Fluke charters for July and August. Get in on the great fishing. Call 732-323-8700 to reserve your day!

07/13/07
Captain Paul reports:
The Mick Pirolli family was on board the Bounty Hunter and Capt. Paul returned to the Monmouth Beach area. Fluke fishing in the AM was a bust for us. No wind and no drift conditions produced plenty of Skates and Robins and 2 Fluke. When the wind finally came on at 11:30 the charter boated another 8 Fluke while releasing over 50 shorts. In addition over a dozen Seabass were caught on the rough bottom. July is the time for Fluke and Blues. Call 732-323-8700 to book your next charter.

07/12/07
Captain Paul reports:
Capt. Paul had the Hal Hall charter on board the Bounty Hunter and headed up to the Monmouth Beach area. Working in depths of 25 to 45 ft. there were plenty of bites but not many keepers. The charter put 11 keepers in the box and released over 50 shorts. Along with the Fluke a dozen Seabass were taken on the rough bottom. Book your next charter on the Bounty Hunter. "A Proven Fish Producer". Call 732-323-8700.

07/09/07
Captain Paul reports:
The Gordon Weir charter was on board the Bounty Hunter for a tough day of Bluefishing. Capt. Paul hit all the traditional spots like the Farms, 17 Fathoms, east and west side of the Hole without a sign of a Blue. He finally caught up with the Blues 25 miles east of Manasquan Inlet. We only had 2 hours of fishing but the charter put 23 Blues up to 12 lbs in the box and missed a like amount. It appears the start of the Spawn may be beginning. If it is we will be in for some lean days over the next week or so. I hope I am wrong. Book your next Bluefish or Fluke charter on the Bounty Hunter. "A Proven Fish Producer" We go the extra mile. Call 732-323-8700.

07/07/07
Captain Paul reports:
The Ed Morrell charter was on board the Bounty Hunter for a day of Bluefishing. Capt. Paul ran to the Farms area and found the Blues a mile south of where they were on the previous trip. The 3 man charter had all the action they could handle. After 2 1/2 hours they had over 50 bites keeping a dozen blues up to 12 lbs. and releasing the rest. A ride into the area off Monmouth Beach and drifting for Fluke produced 5 keepers and over 30 shorts. Fluke and Blues are biting. Book your next charter on the Bounty Hunter. "A Proven Fish Producer" Call 732-323-8700.

07/02/07
Captain Paul reports:
Capt. Paul had brothers Reno & John Mazzella on board the Bounty Hunter today along with visiting relatives from Naples Italy. They wanted to show the visitors what Bluefishing off NJ was all about. Capt. Paul made his way to the Farms and anchored in 100Ft. The Blues started off slow but within an hour it was non stop action. The visitors had a blast landing Blues up to 14 lbs. on Bunker baits and Ava 47's. By noon the box had over 50 Blues in it and the arm weary charter called it a day. July is Bluefish and Fluke month. Book your next charter on the Bounty Hunter. "A Proven Fish Producer" Call 732-323-8700.

07/01/07
Captain Paul reports:
Capt. Paul had the Kurt Gaiser charter on board the Bounty Hunter and fished between Long Branch and Monmouth Beach. The north wind was a welcomed change after the last 4 days of south wind. The drift was good and the Fluke cooperated. The charter had close to 100 bites and boxed 22 keepers. The three largest for the day weighed in at 3 1/2, 3 3/4 and 6 1/2 Lbs. It was a good day. July is Fluke month. Book your next charter on the Bounty Hunter. "A Proven Fish Producer" Call 732-323-8700.

06/30/07
Captain Paul reports:
Capt. Paul had the Vic Steiner charter on board the Bounty Hunter and headed out to the Farms. It did not take long to have the big Blues gathered up under the boat and the 4 man charter hammered away for 2 hours. Over 60 Blues up to 12 lbs. were landed but only 7 were kept. A short ride into the beach and setting up off Long Branch produced over 40 Fluke bites with only 3 keepers finding their way into the box. July is Fluke and Blue month. Book your next charter on the Bounty Hunter "A Proven Fish Producer" Call 732-323-8700.

06/29/07
Captain Paul reports:
The Mick Pirolli charter was on board the Bounty Hunter and had a great day of Fluke and Bluefishing. Capt. Paul started the day out on the Farms where the charter got into the Blues. After putting 60 big Blues in the fish box we headed inshore for a couple hours of Fluke action. Drifting off Monmouth Beach in 15 to 35 Ft. we had the best Fluke bite of the week. The charter landed over 70 Fluke while putting 20 keepers up to 22" in the box. The Blues & Fluke are here. I will be doing Fluke/Blue Combo trips during all of July. A few days are still available. 06/28/07
Captain Paul reports:
The Hal Hall family had their annual Fluke charter on the Bounty Hunter. Capt. Paul ran up to the Long Branch area and worked the rough bottom. The first few hours were tough fishing as wind against the tide conditions slowed the drift down to .1 knot. As the wind shifted we had our drift and the kids went to work getting over 60 bites and putting 16 keepers up to 21" in the box. Along with the Fluke 9 Seabass were also caught. Book your next charter on the Bounty Hunter. "A Proven Fish Producer" Call 732-323-8700.

06/27/07

The Rudy Habb charter got in on some very good Seabass fishing while aboard the Bounty Hunter. Capt. Paul visited 3 of his favorite snags down south and the Seabass were hungry. The charter put together a very nice catch of large Seabass up to 4 lbs. and finished up the day with just over 80 Seabass. Fluke and Blues are biting. Mike Lewis had his annual family charter on board the Bounty Hunter and Capt. Paul hit a few of the local wrecks. The Seabass cooperated on 2 and were scarce on the others. At Noon it was time to hit the Boardwalk and the Beach and we started for home. By that time we had over 50 Seabass in the box along with a couple of nice Tog. Blues, Fluke and Seabass are biting. 06/25/07
Captain Paul reports:
Release fishermen Werner & Wolfgang Sprie were on board the Bounty Hunter and Capt. Paul ran out to the Farms. We had a late start as the sunken dragger was being lifted out of the cut between our dock and the Inlet. The late start however did not stop the Blues from biting. The 2 man charter landed over 80 Blues up to 12 Lbs. and as usual all the fish were released. The Blues are biting. Call Capt. Paul at 732-323-8700 to book your July charter on the Bounty Hunter. "A Proven Fish Producer"

06/24/07
Captain Paul reports:
Capt. Paul had the Bill Anthony charter aboard the Bounty Hunter on Sunday and headed up to the Shrewsbury Rocks. Trolling Shad Rigs the Stripers were few and far between. Our first fish was a 30" keeper followed by a short. The last fish came in at 42" (25 lbs.) and that was it for the Striper bite. Trying for Fluke off Long Branch was just as slow. We had over 30 bites and finished up the day with 3 keepers. Book your July Fluke or Bluefish charter on the Bounty Hunter "A Proven Fish Producer" Call 732-323-8700 today.

06/23/07
Captain Paul reports:
The Dennis Halleran charter was on board the Bounty Hunter and it was a replay of yesterday. 06/21/07
Captain Paul reports:
The Bob McColgan charter was on board the Bounty Hunter today and Capt. Paul made his first stop on the Shrewsbury Rocks. 2 hours of Bunker chunking produced 2 Stripers and 3 Silver Eels along with the usual assortment of Bluefish bite offs and Dogfish. Moving up to the north and anchoring in 30 Ft. the Clam baits were not much of an improvement. We boated 1 Bass and then were run over with a mad Dogfish bite which ended our day. I will be Fluke fishing over the weekend. Book your next charter on the Bounty Hunter. "A Proven Fish Producer" Call 732-323-8700.

06/20/07
Captain Paul reports:
Capt. Paul had the Frank Ruddy charter on board the Bounty Hunter and made his way to the wrecks south of Manasquan Inlet. Making 5 drops the Seabass cooperated on 3 and were picky on 2. The fishing was good enough for the charter to put 100 Seabass up to 4 Lbs. in the box before calling it a day. Book your next charter on the Bounty Hunter, Pt.Pleasant's premier charter boat. Call 732-323-8700 The Bounty Hunter is "A Proven Fish Producer"

Captain Paul reports:
Capt. Paul had the Dave Kirk charter on board the Bounty Hunter for a tough day of Striper fishing. Stopping on the Rocks in the early AM and setting up with fresh Bunker all we managed to get was a few Blues and Sand Sharks. Moving up to the north a few miles and going over to fresh Clams our first two stops were a bust but we finally found the Bass on our third drop. We had a good bite and the 3 man charter boated 6 keepers while releasing over 20 other Bass. At 11AM the south wind came on strong and the bite was over for us. I am now booking July Fluke, Blues & Seabass charters. Do your next day of fishing on the Bounty Hunter. "A Proven Fish Producer". Call 732-323-8700

06/17/07
Captain Paul reports:
The Don Murphy charter was on board the Bounty Hunter Sunday and Capt. Paul made his way up to the Shrewsbury Rocks. After setting up in 30Ft. the first hour of Bunker chunking only produced Blues & Sand Sharks. After a short move we had the same thing, nothing. It was obvious that a few days of hundreds of boats pounding the area had scattered the Bass population. Seeing a hack coming on we decided to switch over to Clamming. Moving a few miles to the north we bailed out with a short bite and saved the day with 5 Stripers up to 33" while releasing 9 Shorts. It was a slow day but we went home with more than most. The Blues are in. Book your July Blue/Fluke Combo charter on the Bounty Hunter. "A Proven Fish Producer" Call 732-323-8700

06/16/07
Captain Paul reports:
Capt. Paul had the Kyle Rogers charter on board the Bounty Hunter today and ran up to the Shrewsbury Rocks. Despite the heavy boat traffic we managed to find a parking spot and put 4 nice Stripers in the box. We were forced to move when the Bluefish and Sand Sharks moved in. On our second drop we put 3 more Bass in the boat and on our third we landed the 2 largest fish of the day a 45" 32 pounder and a 43" 26 pounder. We finished up with 9 big Bass for the day. All the Bass were caught on fresh Bunker chunks. Book your next charter on the Bounty Hunter "A Proven Fish Producer" Call 732-323-8700

06/15/07
Captain Paul reports:
After 2 days off due to the weather Capt. Paul was back on the Striper scene with the Ray Walter charter. Setting up in 25 Ft. off Sandy Hook the Stripers were on the Clam baits within minutes. After 2 hours we had boxed a 10 fish limit catch of Bass up to 34" and released over 15 shorts. Paul then decided to pull anchor and set up on some rough bottom and give the bigger Bass a try with fresh Bunker. When we called it a day just before Noon we had added 5 big bonus fish up to 45"(30 lbs.)to the catch. The other 4 came in at 26, 24, 22 & 22 lbs. The bigger Bass are beginning to show up so book your next charter on the Bounty Hunter. "A Proven Fish Producer" call 732-323-8700

06/12/07
Captain Paul reports:
Capt. Paul had the Brian McFadden charter on board the Bounty Hunter today and made his way up to the Sandy Hook area. It was a day that you had to be in the right place at the right time or you did not catch. The short bite lasted for an hour and we were one of the fortunate boats to be in the right place. The charter put a limit catch of 10 Bass up to 34" in the box and released 6 shorts. The rest of the morning was a hack. A one hour stop before calling it a day saw the charter add 2 Bonus fish to the catch. Book your next charter on the Bounty Hunter "A Proven Fish Producer" Call 732-323-8700

06/11/07
Captain Paul reports:
Capt. Paul returned to the Striper fishing today with the Ken Steiner charter. Running up to the Sandy Hook area the Bass were reluctant to bite in the early AM. As the tide changed they got a little more lively and the 6 man charter had a good 2 hour bite. When the action slowed we had our 12 fish limit in the box and had released another 18 Stripers. Book your July charter for Fluke, Blues & Seabass now. Call 732-323-8700. The Bounty Hunter is a "A Proven Fish Producer"

06/10/07
Captain Paul reports:
The Pat McKernan charter had a good day of Seabass fishing on board the Bounty Hunter. Capt. Paul ran back to the southern wrecks and the charter put together a nice catch of Seabass up to 4 lbs. The first 3 stops produced the usual 10 to 15 fish. Stop number 4 was alive with big Seabass and over 60 fish were landed. We ended the day with over 100 fish in the box. Book your next charter on the Bounty Hunter. "A Proven Fish Producer" Call 732-323-8700.

06/09/07
Captain Paul reports:
The "Mac' MacSherry charter was on board the Bounty Hunter for a day of wreck fishing for Seabass. Capt. Paul made his way to 5 wrecks off Manasquan Inlet and the charter picked away at Seabass up to 3 lbs. Although the water temps are back up to the mid 60's and we did manage to put together a nice catch of just under 100 Seabass the fishing is still not what it should be. Hopefully it will improve over the next few weeks. Book your next charter on the Bounty Hunter. A "Proven Fish Producer". Call 732-323-8700.

06/08/07
Captain Paul reports:
Capt. Paul had the Dan English charter on board the Bounty Hunter and headed up to the Sandy Hook area in a zero visibility fog. It was not until we were at the tip of the Hook that we finally could see for several hundred yards. Setting up in 25 Ft. the first stop saw 2 Bass go in the box. A short move and the second stop yielded another 3 Bass. On our third stop we got lucky we caught the tide change and we had a nice run of Bass. The charter boated another 7 Bass up to 38" filling the limit. We stopped on the way home and in between the Skate and Dogfish bites we added 4 Bonus fish to the catch finishing up with 16 Stripers for the day. Another 9 short Bass were released. Call 732-323-8700 to book your next charter on Pt. Pleasant's finest charter boat.

06/07/07
Captain Paul reports:
The Mike Fuschetti charter had a good day of Striper fishing today. Capt. Paul decided to pass up on the Bunker chunking and Trolling and get right up to the Clam beds and do the Clam thing. It was a good decision as the bite was over by 10AM. Fishing in 30 Ft. the 5 man charter put a limit catch of 10 Bass up to 38" in the box before the bite ended. A brief stop on some rough bottom on the way home added 1 Bonus fish to the catch while fishing with fresh Bunker chunks. I still have July dates available for Stripers,Fluke, Seabass & Bluefish. Call now to book your charter. The days will not last long. 732-323-8700.

06/05/07
Captain Paul reports:
Capt. Paul had the Lisa Grecco charter on board the Bounty Hunter on Tuesday. We started off for the Sandy Hook area to Clam some Stripers. After yesterday's NE blow the water temp was back up by 7 degrees to 61 and we were optimistic. On the way up we ran across a read off Long Branch which looked like Bass. So we put in our Shad Rigs and we had our first Striper in the Box within minutes. The Troll bite continued for 3 hours and the charter put 9 Bass in the fish box along with 9 Bluefish. When the tide changed we switched to Chunking with fresh Bunker and we put another 4 Bass up to 43" (25lbs.) in the fish box. ending the day with a limit catch of Bass plus 1 Bonus fish.

06/03/07
Captain Paul reports:
Capt. Paul had the Bounty Hunter back on the Striper scene Sunday with the Bill Anthony charter. Leaving Manasquan Inlet we had water temps in the mid 50's all the way up to Sandy Hook. We finally found warmer water north of the Cedars. On our first stop the Dogfish destroyed us. On our second stop we boxed 1 keeper Bass along with Dogfish and Skates. Finally on the 3rd try we got into the Bass and landed over 18 up to 31". 5 were keeper size all the others were released.

06/02/07
Captain Paul reports:
The Seabass fishing continued to take a downward slide for the Dennis Jessup charter. Capt. Paul anchored the Bounty Hunter on 3 inshore wrecks that held life but the Seabass all had lockjaw due to the drop in water temperature. After 3 stops we had a grand total of 13 Seabass. We decided to give up on the Seabass and run up to Deal to try and Troll a few Stripers in order to salvage the day. Pulling Shad Rigs in 30 Ft. we managed to land 5 Stripers. Two were 30" fish the other 3 were short and were released. Now booking July Seabass, Fluke & Bluefish charters.Call 732-323-8700 and reserve your date.

06/01/07
Captain Paul reports:
Capt. Paul had the "Mac" MacSherry charter on board the Bounty Hunter today. The last few days of south winds finally cooled off the bottom temperature enough to shut down the good Seabass bite we were enjoying. We made 6 stops on wrecks and snags and read Seabass life on all 6. Dropping fresh clam baits on the reads only produced a slow pick at best. At the end of the day we managed to box just over 80 Seabass up to 3 1/2 lbs. a far cry from what it should have been. I am now booking July charters for Seabass,Fluke and Bluefish. Give me a call at 732-323-8700 and pick your date.

05/31/07
Captain Paul reports:
The good Seabass bite continued for the Vincent Elia charter today. Capt. Paul put the Bounty Hunter on 2 small wrecks and 2 small snags and the 5 man charter had a great day pulling Seabass up to 4 lbs.off each drop. We fished a little deeper today and we paid the price with Dogfish swarming over our Clam baits, but it was worth the inconvenience as the charter put a limit catch into the fish box. Big fish of the day was a 12lb Blackfish taken on one of the snags. I will be fishing for Seabass until the middle of July. If you would like to catch some of these prized table fare fish give me a call at 732-323-8700

05/29/07
Captain Paul reports:
Today the Don Yowell charter enjoyed the great weather and great Seabass fishing while on board the Bounty Hunter. Capt. Paul made his way to 4 small pieces in 90 ft. and the charter bailed big Seabass for most of the day only slowing down after we lost the wind and current at midday. We did return to the dock with another limit catch of 100 Seabass up to 3 1/2 lbs. As usual to put the catch together we had to fight off the ever present endangered and protected Dogfish. I am now booking July dates for Seabass, Blues, Fluke and Shark. Call 732-323-8700 to get your day.

05/26/07
Captain Paul reports:
The Ron Horwath charter was on board the Bounty Hunter today and Capt. Paul headed back to Sandy Hook. The water was a dark Brown and we did not know how the Bass would react to the poor conditions. To our surprise we had a slow pick all day with the charter putting 11 keeper Bass up to 31" in the fishbox while releasing over 40 more shorts. The large Bass were absent but the bite was good enough and no one was complaining.

05/26/07
Captain Paul reports:
Capt. Paul decided to avoid the inshore Striper fishing and spend the day offshore with the Joe Sensale charter. Making drops on 4 small snags the large Seabass were eager to bite. The 6 man charter had solid picks on all stops and quickly put together a limit catch of 150 Seabass up to 4 lbs. in order to put the catch together we had to fish our way thru the large numbers of Dogfish which were every where we dropped.

05/25/07
Captain Paul reports:
After the terrific Bass fishing we enjoyed over the past several days, yesterday the Bass took a holiday and left town. The Keith Toboada charter put in a full day of Trolling Spoons, Jigging and Clamming and came up empty. We fished several areas from Asbury Park up to Raritan Bay and all we had was a day long encounter with Bluefish, Sand Sharks and Skates.

05/24/07
Captain Paul reports:
Capt. Paul started off the day looking for the great Bunker reads he had yesterday and the Mark Lukenda charter was ready when we found the bait & Bass off Asbury Park. The first drift put 3 Stripers up to 38" in the fish box. With the Bass reads showing up in mid water We decided to put in the Spoons for the first time this year. The big Bass did not disappoint as the charter landed an additional 9 Bass to limit out which included 3 Bonus fish. The largest Bass landed measured 47" and tipped the scale at 42 lbs. The next 3 largest came in at 36, 29, & 26 Lbs. I am now booking Oct, Nov & Dec. Striper charters. If you would like to fish on Pt. Pleasant's premier Striper boat call 732-323-8700

05/23/07
Captain Paul reports:
Capt. Paul had the John Light charter on board the Bounty Hunter and got up to Raritan Bay for the morning tide change. Anchored on the Knoll all we had to show after 3 hours of clamming was 3 Stripers in the boat. It was time to make a decision and Paul decided to run 12 miles to the north and switch over to jigging. The first hour only produced Bluefish but after setting up on a good read the Bass turned on. The charter jigged over 30 Blues and 9 Stripers up to 41". Finishing up with a 6 man limit of 12 Bass. Ava's & Krocodiles worked best. May 30, June 6,& 27 are still available for Charter.

05/22/07
Captain Paul reports:
The Bob McColgan group returned for their second Striper charter this month. They had a great trip on their first charter but today was even better. Capt. Paul set up the Bounty Hunter in 25 Ft. in Raritan Bay and at the start of the incoming water the bite was on. The 6 man group put a limit catch of 12 big Bass plus 3 Bonus fish in the boat over a 3 hour period. The largest Bass measured 40" and weighed in at 28 lbs. Another 6 Bass were released. May 30, June 6 & June 27 are available for charter. Either Stripers or Jumbo Seabass. Call 732-323-8700

05/21/07
Captain Paul reports:
Capt. Paul had the Mike Lewis charter on board the Bounty Hunter today and headed back to Sandy Hook. The morning started off slow as the wind against the tide conditions and the lack of bites made for a long day. We picked away for 4 hours and managed to put 7 keepers in the boat while being constantly plagued by an endless bite of Skates. A short move into the Bay provided another 3 Bass. We were lucky to finish the day with a limit catch of 10 keepers while releasing 16 more shorts. Stripers? Jumbo Seabass? May 30, June 6 & 27 are still available. Give me a call at 732-323-8700.

05/20/07
Captain Paul reports:
The Abe Coban charter got into the hot Striper bite today. Capt. Paul set up the Bounty Hunter in 25 Ft. and the bite was on within minutes. It was an early bite and only lasted 2 1/2 hours before the heavy boat traffic shut it down. It was however enough time for the 6 man charter to put a limit catch of 12 Bass up to 37" in the boat along with 4 Bonus fish. Another 26 Bass were released. May 30, June 6, 20, & 27 are still available for Charter. Get in on the great Striper action. Call 732-323-8700.

05/19/07
Captain Paul reports:
Capt. Paul had release fisherman Werner Sprie on the Bounty Hunter today. Setting up in 20 Ft. off Sandy Hook it was a release fisherman's dream come true as the Bass gathered under the boat and Werner and the Bounty Hunter crew had a non stop 4 hour bite. It was a mix of 24" to 27" Bass along with a lot of larger fish. The 2 largest of the day reached 37" with many in the 34" to 36" range. At the end of the day over 100 Bass were released. May 30, June 6, 13, 20, & 27 are still available for charter. Like to catch a Big Bass? Give me a call at 732-323-8700.

Captain Paul reports:
After 2 days off due to the severe south winds Capt. Paul got right back into the great Striper fishing. Anchoring the Bounty Hunter in 25 Ft. off Sandy Hook with the "Mac" MacSherry charter we had a good Bass bite all to ourselves. The Bass were all larger then on the previous days and there were more of them. We had the bite for the end of the incoming, thru slack water and the start of the outgoing. It could not get better as the charter put a limit catch of 12 Stripers in the box up to 36" and having their own Bonus cards with them they added 6 Bonus fish to the catch while releasing over 40 more large Bass. It's appears that the bigger fish are moving in and fishing can only improve over the next several weeks. I am available for charter on May 30 and June 6, 13, 20 & 21. Want to get in on some big Bass fishing? Give me a call at 732-323-8700.

05/14/07
Captain Paul reports:
Capt. Paul had the Ken Steiner charter on board the Bounty Hunter today. Anchoring off Sandy Hook the Stripers were all over the Clam baits within minutes. The bite continued for the last hour of the incoming and thru slack water. On the outgoing we had wind against the tide and the bite died like someone threw a switch. By that time however the 5 man charter had put a limit catch of 10 Bass in the boat plus 3 Bonus fish the largest measuring 36". Over 40 Bass were released.

05/12/07
Captain Paul reports:
Bounty Hunter regulars Werner and Wolfgang Sprie returned for their weekly Striper charter on Saturday. Capt. Paul set up in 20 Ft. off Sandy Hook and we saw a vast improvement over Friday's fishing. The bite was early and only lasted a few hours but it was good enough for the 2 man charter to land over 45 Bass up to 36". As usual as the bite ended the Skates moved in. A short move at the tide change saw 5 more Bass landed. For the day we had over 50 Stripers all of which were released along with several Bluefish. Stripers?, Seabass on the wrecks? A few days still available. Give me a call at 732-323-8700

05/11/07
Captain Paul reports:
After a solid week of great Striper fishing,on Friday we saw a slow down with the Chris Cameroni charter. Capt. Paul set up in 25 Ft. and the bite never turned on. It was an occasional Bass and plenty of Skates. After 2 hours of hard chumming we had 2 Stripers in the box. A move of a few miles as the tide changed saw the charter put another 3 keepers up to 31" in the box while releasing 15 shorts.

05/10/07
Captain Paul reports:
Capt. Paul ran the Bounty Hunter up to Sandy Hook in this morning's pea soup fog with the Brian McFadden charter. The weather did not keep the Bass from biting. We were into the fish within minutes and the bite continued for the last hour of the outgoing and thru the slack water. Once we had hard running incoming water the bite slowed to a pick. The bite lasted long enough for the 6 man charter to box a limit catch of Bass up to 34" along with 4 Bonus fish. I have a few days open in May and June. If your interest is Stripers or Sea Bass on the inshore wrecks give me a call at 732-323-8700.

05/09/07
Captain Paul reports:
It was another great day of Striper fishing on the Bounty Hunter. After anchoring in 25 Ft. up at Sandy Hook the charter enjoyed a 4 hour bite of Bass up to 33". It was not fast action but it was steady. When we called it a day at 1PM we had caught over 40 Bass and kept a 5 man limit catch of 10 plus 5 Bonus fish. Due to cancellations I have a few week days open in May & June. Anyone interested in getting in on some great Bass fishing should give me a call at 732-323-8700.

05/08/07
Captain Paul reports:
Capt. Paul had the Dave Smith charter on board the Bounty Hunter today. Anchored in 30 ft. up at Sandy Hook the charter got off to a fast start, putting the first keeper in the box within a few minutes of stopping. We had the Bass around the boat for most of the morning and the charter landed over 40 Bass which included a limit catch of 12 Bass plus 2 Bonus fish up to 32". The bite was over by noon and we called it a day. Want to catch a Striper? I still have a few days open in June. Give me a call at 732-323-8700.

05/07/07
Captain Paul reports:
The Striped Bass fishing bounced back after yesterday's blow for the Tom Richel charter. Capt. Paul ran the Bounty Hunter up to the Sandy Hook area and anchored in 30 Ft. The Bass bite started off slow but picked up as the current increased. The 6 man charter picked away at the Bass and finished up the day with 61 Bass caught and a limit catch of 12 Bass plus 2 Bonus fish in the box. We were on our way home by Noon. Great weather, good anglers and a nice catch. It does not get any better. A few week days have become available on the Bounty Hunter in May & June. If you want to get in on some great Striper fishing now is your opportunity to fish on Pt. Pleasant's Premier Bass boat. Call 732-323-8700 for information.

05/05/07
Captain Paul reports:
Capt. Paul had release fishermen Werner and Wolfgang Sprie on board the Bounty Hunter and made his way up to Sandy Hook. Anchoring in 20 Ft. it was soon evident that the large schools of Bass from the previous day had moved off. We picked 3 Bass then the bite died. Moving a few miles to the north only added 2 more Bass to the count. On the third drop we finally got a few bites and finished the day with a total of 13 Bass up to 30". All the Bass were released. A 3 degree drop in water temperature did not help our efforts. I am now booking July dates for Bluefish, Fluke and Shark charters. If interested give me a call at 732-323-8700 or check www.bountyhuntercharters.com

05/04/07
Captain Paul reports:
It was 1 drop fishing for the Greg Lewis charter today. Capt Paul made his way up to Sandy Hook and found a large read of Stripers in 25 Ft. of water. Dropping anchor we had 5 Bass on before our anchor line came tight. The non stop action continued for 4 hours before tapering off to a slow pick, but by then the 6 man charter had caught over 100 Bass putting a limit catch of 12 Bass up to 31" in the box along with 3 Bonus fish. A few Blues were encountered but all were released. I am now booking July charters for Blues, Fluke, Shark and the popular Blue/Fluke Combo trip. Give me a call at 732-323-8700 for information.

04/29/07
Captain Paul reports:
Capt. Paul Regula had long time Bounty Hunter supporters Werner and Wolfgang Sprie on board for his first charter of the year. Setting up on Romer Shoal it did not take long for us to get the Stripers under the boat. We worked the start of the outgoing tide and boated 31 Bass, 5 were keeper size up to 32". After a short move into deeper water we got into the Bass immediately where the 2 man charter landed over 50 more Bass up to 32" with 17 fish being over 28". All the Bass were released. I am now booking Striper charters for the Fall season.(Oct, Nov & Dec) If you want to get in on some great Striper action give me a call at 732-323-8700 or check out my Web Site right here on Nautical Net.

2006 Fishing Reports

12/17/06
Captain Paul reports:
Tom Headley closed out the Bounty Hunter 2006 season with his 3rd charter this week. Capt. Paul ran the Bounty Hunter up to the Shrewsbury Rocks and started the day pulling Spoons. The SSW wind slowed the bite but the big Bass were there for the taking. The charter boxed 4 Bass while Spooning, the 2 largest a 28 lb fish boated by Tom and a 23 pounder landed by Don Murphy. A switch over to pulling Shad Rigs added another 6 keepers to the catch while an additional 23 shorts were released. THE 2007 SEASON IS BOOKING UP FAST. NOW IS THE TIME TO CALL AND RESERVE YOUR 2007 DATES. DON'T MISS THE BOAT. CALL 732-323-8700.

12/16/06
Captain Paul reports:
Tom Headley who can never get his fill of Striper fishing returned to the Bounty Hunter today and had one of this seasons great days. Capt. Paul ran up to the Shrewsbury Rocks and got into the Bass action immediately. Starting off trolling Spoons the charter put 4 Bass in the boat within minutes. We switched over to casting plugs and jigging for a while and added another 4 Bass to the catch. A return to Spooning got us into the bigger Bass and we boxed another 4 keepers the largest a 42" beauty landed by Tom. The fish tipped the scales at 33 lbs. We finished up at Noon with a limit catch plus 4 Bonus fish in the box. Over 30 additional keepers and shorts were released.

12/14/06
Captain Paul reports:
Capt. Paul had the Tom Headley charter on board the Bounty Hunter and headed south towards Lavallette. Trolling Shad rigs the charter boated 1 keeper Bass and several shorts. A call that there was a morning bite taking place at the Shrewsbury Rocks prompted us to pull in the gear and run north. Getting in on the tail end of the action we pulled Spoons and put 5 keepers in the fish box. A switch over to Jigging with Ava's only produced over 20 shorts. As the Fog rolled in at Noon and visibility dropped to zero we called it a day and headed for home.

12/12/06
Captain Paul reports:
Capt. Paul had the Mike Lewis charter on board the Bounty Hunter and headed to the south of Manasquan Inlet. An early morning stiff NE wind had the ocean rolling and drifting conditions were not good. We went to the Shad Rigs and Trolled the area off Lavallette where the birds were active. We had another early pick on the Bass but by 11AM it was over for us. The charter picked thru the short fish and boxed 7 Stripers up to 33" while releasing over 40 shorts. Unless something dramatic changes this may be our last shot at the Bass this year.

12/11/06
Captain Paul reports:
The Mick Pirolli charter was on board the Bounty Hunter for their last charter of the "06" season. Capt. Paul headed south and found the birds working schools of Herring & Bass in 60 Ft. off Ortley Beach. An hour of early morning Jigging produced 3 Bass up to 32". Switching over to Trolling Shad Rigs the charter added another 8 Stripers up to 34" to their catch. Beside the 11 Stripers in the fish box over 30 shorts were released.

12/10/06
Captain Paul reports:
Release Fishermen Werner & Wolfgang Sprie returned to the Bounty Hunter today and wound up their "06" season with Capt. Paul. We made our way to the south and found the birds and Bass in 60 Ft. off Lavelette. The fish were spread out so we went right to the troll. Pulling Shad rigs we got into the fish immediately. The bite was considerably slower than yesterday and the south wind may have been a factor. The 2 man charter caught 36 Stripers for the day along with 7 Blues. With the exception of 7 Bass all were over 28" The largest being 35". That's pretty good fishing by any standard. ALL THE BASS & BLUES WERE RELEASED! I will be ending my "06" season next weekend.I am open Thur, Fri, Sat & Sun If you want to get in on the late season Striper fishing give me a call @ 732-323-8700

12/09/06
Captain Paul reports:
Release Fishermen Werner & Wolfgang Sprie were on board the Bounty Hunter for what could only be described as the best day of Bass fishing this Fall. Capt. Paul caught up with the big Stripers off Seaside Heights and the action was endless. We started the day Jigging on thick reads and caught fish up to 20 lbs. on Ava's. When the fish spread out we switched over to Trolling Shad rigs in 60 Ft. and picked away at the big fish all day At days end we had caught over 75 Stripers the largest weighing in at 35 lbs. and over a dozen that went between 15 & 20 lbs. plus 19 Alligator Blues. The large Bass was caught on a Shad. ALL THE BASS & BLUES WERE RELEASED!

12/07/06
Captain Paul reports:
The Hal Hall charter was on board the Bounty Hunter for a day of Blackfishing. Capt. Paul fished 4 local wrecks in 75 ft. and never got the bigger fish biting. We had constant action with 13" fish but the larger keepers were scarce. At the end of the day we had just under 20 Tog in the box up to 5 lbs.

12/06/06
Captain Paul reports:
The Ron Werner charter was on board the Bounty Hunter and we headed up to the area off Monmouth Beach. After getting reports of some good Striper activity in the area yesterday we were hoping that the bite would continue today. We found the birds working on schools of Bass in 50 Ft. and broke out the Jigs. Plenty of shorts and not to many keeper Bass was the story. To make it interesting the Alligator Blues were mixed in with the Bass. We got in 2 hours of Jigging before the South wind came on. The 2 man charter boxed 2 Keeper Bass up to 30" and released over 25 shorts. We also kept 4 large Blues while releasing another 5. By 11AM the wind was up to 25 Knots and by Noon it was over 30 Knots. That ended the day for us as the conditions became unfishable and we headed for home in a very angry ocean.

12/05/06
Captain Paul reports:
Capt. Paul had the "Mac" MacSherry charter on board the Bounty Hunter and headed East to work a few drops for Blackfish. With the Sun rise the NW wind came on and made for some rough fishing conditions. The day long 30 knot wind and the 3 to 5 ft. seas made feeling the bites difficult. The charter toughed it out and despite the handicap was able to box 25 nice size Tog up to 8 lbs. We fished 3 drops and caught keeper Tog on all 3.

12/03/06
Captain Paul reports:
Capt. Paul had the Kurt Gaiser charter on board the Bounty Hunter for the first Blackfish charter of the fall season. Anchoring on structure in 70 Ft. the fishing got off to a slow start but improved by mid morning. The charter picked away at Blackfish up to 6 lbs. and put 29 in the fish box before we lost the wind, current and anchoring conditions.

12/02/06
Captain Paul reports:
Release fisherman Werner Sprie was on board and Capt. Paul ran the Bounty Hunter up into Raritan Bay. The 25 knot NW wind did not make for comfortable fishing conditions but it did not keep the Stripers from biting. While anchored in 25 Ft. the Bass bit the entire outgoing tide. Almost all were in the 26" to 27" range with a couple that made keeper size. However there were plenty of Bass to be caught as we finished the day just short of 100 Bass released.

11/30/06
Captain Paul reports:
I had the Mick Pirolli charter on board the Bounty Hunter and made my way up to the Sandy Hook area. The morning zero visibility fog made for a slower ride but once there we anchored in 25 Ft. After an hour of clamming we had a dozen shorts. We made a short move and got into a good bite of undersize fish. The charter released over 30 shorts. A third move to the north put us into another good bite of short Bass. On the tide change the larger fish came on and we saved the day by putting 4 keepers up to 32" in the fish box. Once again the short Bass did not miss being legal by much. Most of the releases were in the 26" to 27 1/2" range. For the day over 60 were released.

11/29/06
Captain Paul reports:
The Tom Headley charter was on board the Bounty Hunter today and Capt. Paul headed back to the Sandy Hook area. We started off with a slow pick on small Bass and thought we were in for a repeat of the past few days. However to our surprise the larger fish started to move in. Our short Bass were not off by much from being legal and in the mix we landed 6 keepers up to 36 while releasing over 40 shorts.. Today was a vast improvement over the past days when all we had were undersize fish. Maybe this is the start of the long overdue Striper bite. An hour of Trolling Spoons off Manasquan on our way home produced 3 Alligator blues but no Bass.

11/28/06
Captain Paul reports:
I had the Bill Anthony charter on board the Bounty Hunter today and headed back to Sandy Hook. Today was a repeat of the past few trips, all the short Bass you would want with a shortage of keepers. We anchored in 25 Ft. and had the Bass on immediately. They bit thru the entire tide change and the 4 man charter got arm weary catching and releasing over 80 short Bass while putting 1 keeper in the fish box.

11/27/06
Captain Paul reports:
The Dave Kirk charter was on board the Bounty Hunter and Capt Paul made his way up to Raritan Bay. If we were destined to have a slow day of Bass fishing today was the day. A morning stop in Raritan Bay only netted us several shorts and then the bite died. A move back to the ocean side produced a slow pick of Bass but all were undersize. We finished the clamming with just over 25 shorts. A brief stop on the rocks got us 2 short Stripers and one large Bluefish while pulling Shad rigs. A very slow day to say the least.

11/26/06
Captain Paul reports:
Capt. Paul had the Michael Alejandro charter on board the Bounty Hunter. Anchoring in 15 Ft. up in Raritan Bay the charter had no problem beating up on the short Stripers. The Bass bit thru the incomming tide but the charter had to fish thru over 45 shorts before they had 4 keepers up to 36" in the fish box.

11/25/06
Captain Paul reports:
Release Fishermen Werner & Wolfgang Sprie were on board the Bounty Hunter and Capt. Paul made the run up to Raritan Bay. After anchoring in 15 Ft. we had what appeared to be all the undersized Stripers in the bay under our boat. The 2 man charter had a 5 hour non stop bite of short Stripers catching and releasing over 90 shorts. Mixed in with the short Bass were 3 fish that made the legal size. Great fishing but the wrong size. That has been the story for over a week. All the Bass were released.

11/21/06
Captain Paul reports:
Capt. Paul had the Tom Headley charter on board the Bounty Hunter and headed up to Raritan Bay. We caught the morning tide change and the charter enjoyed good fishing for 2 hours. 5 Bass up to 34"were put in the fish box and another 35+ shorts were released. A late morning move to the ocean side produced 2 more keepers and another 16 shorts.

11/20/06
Captain Paul reports:
The Mick Pirolli charter was on board the Bounty Hunter and Capt. Paul made his way back to Raritan Bay. The early morning bite on the tide change only lasted an hour for us. The charter put 3 keepers up to 31" in the fish box then spent the rest of the morning catching and releasing over 30 shorts. A short move to another area only produced more Shorts, Skates & Dogfish.

11/19/06
Captain Paul reports:
The Mike Fuschetti charter was on board the Bounty Hunter and Capt. Paul ran back to Raritan Bay. The Striper bite slowed considerably from what we had over the past few days. The charter fished hard but we only managed 4 keepers up to 36". The smaller fish kept the charter busy as they caught and released over 40 shorts. Hopefully the fishing will improve as we come of this new moon.

11/18/06
Captain Paul reports:
The Brian McFadden charter was on board the Bounty Hunter and put together a nice catch of Stripers. Capt. Paul had the Bounty Hunter up in Raritan Bay and caught the early morning tide change. The Stripers bit well for 2 hours and the charter put a catch of 7 nice Bass up to 38" in the boat while releasing over 25 short fish. As the New Moon current picked up the bite slowed down and only a handful of short fish were caught. We called it a day at noon and headed for home.

11/17/06
Captain Paul reports:
The Gus Kuhlman charter was on board the Bounty Hunter and got in on some of the best Striper fishing to date. Capt. Paul ran up to Raritan Bay and after catching and releasing the smaller fish for 2 hours made a 4 mile move and that made all the difference in the world. The larger Bass came on and the charter had no problem putting together a limit catch of fish up to 38". In the process another 35+ shorts were released.

11/15/06
Captain Paul reports:
Capt. Paul had Tom Headley and his charter on board the Bounty Hunter and ran up to Raritan Bay. We worked a few spots that we had not visited this season and the strategy paid off. We picked a few keepers at each stop and by the time we started for home we had a limit catch of 12 Stripers up to 33" in our fish box and had released over 30 short Bass.

11/14/06
Captain Paul reports:
The Kevin Corradino charter was on board the Bounty Hunter on Tuesday and Capt. Paul made his way back to Sandy Hook. For the second time this week the weatherman was off as the forecasted wind and rain never materialized. There were only 2 boats on the fishing grounds and we had a lot of Bass all to ourselves. Our charter had 5 hours of good fishing but had to get thru over 100 shorts to put 5 keepers in the fish box. All my days for the balance of the year are booked. I want to thank everyone who called. I am now booking 2007 dates. Give me a call at 732-323-8700.

11/12/06
Captain Paul reports:
Capt. Paul had the Ed Stanchi charter on board the Bounty Hunter and ran back to the Sandy Hook area. With the weather men again forcasting wind and rain we were surprised to find a calm ocean with a dense fog and no rain. Ed and his two young sons had a blast catching and releasing 40 short Stripers while putting four 29" keepers in the fish box. It was the same as yesterday an over abundance of short Bass and a shortage of keepers The forecasted rain finally came as we were heading home.

11/11/06
Captain Paul reports:
Capt. Paul headed up to the Sandy Hook area with the Sergio Eliguir charter. Setting up in 28 Ft. the short stripers were all over the clam baits. There was no lack of bites for us as the charter caught and released over 35 short Bass. We finished the day with two 32" keepers in the box. We certainly had the quantity today but came up short on the quality.

11/10/06
Captain Paul reports:
The good Striper fishing continued and the Ron Horwath charter got in on the action. Capt. Paul ran the Bounty Hunter up to the Sandy Hook area and set up in 30ft. As was the case yesterday the bite was fast with the 24" to 27" Bass supplying most of the action. The charter caught Stripers on the incoming and out going tides and at the end of the day had put 11 keepers in the box up to 35" and released over 50 shorts. I am now booking Spring Striper charters for May & June, 2007. Call Capt. Paul at 732-323-8700

11/09/06
Captain Paul reports:
Capt. Paul had the "Mac" MacSherry charter on board the Bounty Hunter and headed up to the Sandy Hook area. The remains of yesterday's weather left the ocean with large swells and a good heave. After anchoring in 30 ft.the Stripers were on the clam baits immediately. Most of the Bass were shorts but the charter managed to get 6 keepers up to 33" in the box before the tide change. Once we had outgoing water the Bass turned on again and we put another 6 keepers in the box along with 3 Bonus fish. For the day we had 15 Bass in the boat and released over 40 shorts. Stripers are biting. Days available for charter are Nov. 13, 30, Dec. 11, 12. Give me a call at 732-323-8700.

11/06/06
Captain Paul reports:
The Ken Steiner charter got in on the great Striper fishing today. Capt. Paul ran up to the Sandy Hook area and initially was disappointed with the lack of Striper reads in areas that have produced over the last 3 days.. Moving on we found the Bass in 38 ft. of water and proceeded to drift our clam baits. The bite was good for us as the charter put a limit catch of 10 Stripers up to 34" in the boat while releasing over 20 more shorts. Nov. 13, 14, 21 & 30 are still open for charter. Get in on the great Striper fishing now. Give me a call at 732-323-8700.

11/05/06
Captain Paul reports:
Release Fishermen Werner & Wolgang Sprie were on board the Bounty Hunter and Capt. Paul headed up to the Sandy Hook area. Anchoring in 30 ft. we had a good morning bite on fresh clam baits. By 10:30AM we had caught and released 26 Stripers up to 32". On the tide change the current picked up and the bite ended. We then went up on the Troll for a few hours pulling Shad rigs in between the Channels. We never got a touch. At 1PM we called it a day and started for home.

11/04/06
Captain Paul reports:
Capt Paul had the Chris Cameroni charter on board the Bounty Hunter and ran up to Sandy Hook. Anchoring in 28 Ft. it did not take long before we had our first Bass in the box. The early morning bite only lasted just over an hour however it was long enough for the charter to put 8 Keeper bass up to 36" in the boat while releasing over 25 shorts. A switch over to Trolling Shad rigs produced 2 more keepers and several shorts. As we went into slack water we switched back to the Clamming and put two additional Bass in the box. For the day we had a limit catch of 12 Stripers and over 40 shorts released. STRIPERS ARE BITING! Available days are; NOV. 13, 14, 21 & 30 In Dec.3, 4, 11 & 12 Give me a call at 732-323-8700.

10/31/06
Captain Paul reports:
The Matt MacSherry charter was on board the Bounty Hunter today. Capt. Paul decided to pass on the southern wrecks and headed to the east to fish a few snags in deeper water. Anchoring on 3 pieces over the course of the day the charter battled the Dogfish, short Seabass and a brisk 20 to 25 knot south west wind which made for tough conditions. Their efforts were rewarded with over 50 large Seabass up to 3lbs. plus a handful of large Porgies.

10/27/06
Captain Paul reports:
Capt. Paul had the Mike Pirolli charter on board the Bounty Hunter. Running down to the wrecks south of Manasquan Inlet and making drops on 4 pieces we found plenty of life on all of them. As was the case on our last trip you had to fish through the small Seabass and Porgies to get to the larger Seabass. At the end of the day we had over 70 fish in the box. 52 were Seabass the rest were large Porgies.

10/22/06
Captain Paul reports:
The Pat Kester charter was on board the Bounty Hunter for a day of Seabass fishing. Capt. Paul made his way to the south and fished 5 drops. It was tough fishing trying to get thru the small Seabass and Porgies. The charter managed to box just over 50 keeper Seabass. They also kept over a dozen Porgies and 6 Bluefish. We stopped counting the Seabass and Porgy throwbacks at 150. Stripers are moving in. Nov. 7,9,13,& 14 are still available. Interested? Give me a call at 732-323-8700

10/15-16/06
Captain Paul reports:
The Paul Pinho charter was on board the Bounty Hunter for an Overnighter. Capt. Paul ran out to the Hudson Canyon and set up on the Troll on the East Wall. Pulling Reel Seat Squid Spreader bars and Skirted Balyhoo we went 4 for 6 while landing 1 Longfin and 3 Yellowfin. Anchoring up in 550 ft. of water for the night all our bites came before midnight as we went 4 for 7 on Yellowfin up to 70 lbs. The rest of the night was uneventful as we only had 4 Shark encounters. Stripers are in! Looking for some early Bass action? Give me a call at 732-323-8700.

10/09-10/06
Captain Paul reports:
Capt. Paul had the Larry Menella charter on board the Bounty Hunter for a Canyon Overnighter. Running out to the Carteret Canyon and setting up in 70.5 degree water, we were disappointed as the water temperature slowly dipped during the night to 67 degrees. We never had a good bite, going 1 for 5 on the Yellowfin. The lone Yellowfin a 60 lb. fish was landed by 16 year old Frankie Mennella, it was his first. 3 hours of Trolling added 1 nice Mahi to the catch. I am now booking Striped Bass & Seabass charters for Oct. & Nov. Interested? Give me a call at 732-323-8700.

10/01/06
Captain Paul reports:
Capt. Paul had Werner Sprie on board the Bounty Hunter for a day of Bluefishing. Running out to the edge of the Mud Hole and anchoring in 125 Ft. we had the Blues going within 15 minutes. With a 20 Knot South wind and passing rain showers the conditions were a bit sloppy but the Blues bit well. As the wind shifted to the NW and began dropping out the bite slowed down. For the day Werner landed and released 78 Blues. A few drops to the rough bottom with clam baits produced a dozen nice Seabass. Another dozen never made it past the Blues. I am now booking Oct. & Nov. Striper and Seabass charters. Interested? Give me a call at 732-323-8700.

Capt. Paul had the Tom Headley charter on board the Bounty Hunter for a Canyon Overnighter. Running out to the Carteret Canyon and Trolling down the edge Paul finally caught up to the 75 Degree water and the Yellowfins between the Lindenkohl and Spencer Canyons. Anchoring in 475 Ft. we had our first Yellowfin on within an hour and the fish never left. We had a steady pick for 4 hours on Sardines and live Squid baits. By midnight we had gone 18 for 25 on Yellowfin Tuna up to 90 lbs. and with a limit catch in the fish boxes the charter called it a night and we started for home. The Trolling we did only produced 4 Mahi. Now booking October Bluefish, Seabass and Stripers. Interested? Give me at 732-323-8700

Dropping on 4 wrecks 20 miles south of Manasquan we got off to a slow start as short Seabass, Small Porgies and Snapper Blues were all over the baits. In the mix we had a few Trigger fish and over a dozen Blackfish which were released. The Seabass fishing can only get better over the next several weeks. Capt. Paul had the Monique Baureis charter on board the Bounty Hunter. Monique had her family visiting from Germany and wanted to treat them to a day of Fluke fishing before their return home. We thought we could get the day in but the East wind and SE swell made for difficult conditions. We managed to pull a few short Fluke off Seaside but the endless schools of Snapper Blues made it impossible to keep a bait on the hook. By 11AM ocean motion had taken it's toll and we called it a day. I am now booking Bluefish & Fluke charters for September. Anyone interested give me a call at 732-323-8700.

Working our way south the first few stops only produced short Fluke. We finally picked 5 keeper Fluke off Seaside Hgts. while releasing over 20 more shorts. We made the short ride back from the Mud and had a slow pick on the Blues. The charter kept 8 and released a few more before we switched over to Fluke fishing inshore. We had 2 good drifts putting 8 keepers in the box while releasing over 40 shorts. The largest Fluke weighed in at 4 1/2 lbs. August is Fluke & Blue month. Looking to go? We had our first fish on within a few minutes and they never stopped biting. The charter landed over 70 Blues up to 12 lbs. keeping 32 and releasing the others. A brief stop inshore to drift for Fluke proved futile as the increasing wind along with the rain put an end to the fishing. All we managed was several shorts.

The charter pulled 35 nice Seabass and things were looking good. The forecasted SW wind arrived and suddenly it was blowing 20 to 25 Knots with a strong south current. The fish shut down and we did not get more than a dozen Seabass on our next 3 stops. We finished with just under 50 Seabass for the day.

06/30/06
Captain Paul reports:
The Mike Fuschetti charter was on board the Bounty Hunter for a day of Seabass fishing. Capt. Paul headed south and found the warmer water off Barnegat Inlet. Unfortunately we also found the Dogfish. fishing 4 drops in 90 Ft. the charter fished their way thru the endless bite of Dogfish to put over 60 Seabass up to 4 1/2 lbs. in the boat. It appears that the Dogfish problem is keeping the Seabass catches at half of what they normally would be.

06/29/06
Captain Paul reports:

We fished 5 wrecks in 70 Ft. of water and got beat up by the Dogfish on every drop. After pulling 10 or 15 Seabass the Dogs found us and we had to move on. All we managed to salvage out of a very frustrating day was 74 Seabass up to 3 lbs.

06/15/06

The "Mac" MacSherry charter was on board the Bounty Hunter today for a day of Seabass fishing. It appeared that we were the only boat out today and it gave me a chance to anchor on 3 of my favorite snags offshore. It was drop and reel fishing right from the first stop. After the 3rd drop we had a 5 man limit of 125 large Seabass in the box. Most of the fish were in the 2 to 4 Lb.class with several breaking the 4 lb. mark. Seabass fishing does not get any better then it was today, and I enjoyed filling the box for one of the Bounty Hunter's top customers.

Lee Childers along with his son Jeff and nephew Chris were on board the Bounty Hunter today. We were scheduled for a Seabass wreck trip but with the 30 knot NW wind we decided to go for Striped Bass. As has been the case over the last week Striper fishing was slow. Bunker Spoons produced only Bluefish. A switch to Shad Rigs produced 3 Stripers along with a few dozen Blues. The largest Bass measured 32" and the other two were 27". They were released.

06/09/06
Captain Paul reports:
The Ray Walter charter joined Capt. Paul on board the Bounty Hunter for a day of Seabass fishing. We dropped on 4 wrecks south of Manasquan Inlet and had good fishing on each until the Dogfish found us, then we had to move on. Along with the Dogs we had a strong north current to contend with all day. We called it a day with 74 Seabass up to 3 lbs. in the box.

06/08/06
Captain Paul reports:
The Brad Fletcher group was on board the Bounty Hunter for our first Bluefish charter of the year. Capt. Paul worked his way south in search of the birds and reads and found a huge school of Blues off Seaside Heights. These were not the small Blues that have been jigged up north but the large variety ranging in size from 6 up to 12 lbs. The charter had non stop action on Ava 47's for over 3 hours landing well over 100 fish while keeping 30 and releasing the rest.

06/06/06
Captain Paul reports:
The Brian McFadden charter was on board the Bounty Hunter and Capt. Paul headed up to Sandy Hook. Chunking with fresh caught bunker we landed a 30" Striped Bass and felt like we were on our way to a decent catch 2 hours later all we had was one 30" Bass. As the tide changed we tried trolling Spoons between the channels on the Rocks and off the Thunderbird in Mantoloking and all we could show for our effort was Bluefish. The charter kept a dozen and released over 30 more.

06/05/06
Captain Paul reports:
Capt. Paul had the "Mac" MacSherry charter on board the Bounty Hunter today and headed up to Raritan Bay. Brief stops along the way on the Rocks and off the Highlands Bridge only produced Bluefish. Fishing off the tip of Sandy Hook and along the Reach channel it was Bluefish and more Bluefish. For us there was not a Bass to be found. Although we seen Bass being boated along the way today was not our day. The charter kept several Blues and released the rest.

06/04/06
Captain Paul reports:
Capt. Paul did a rare half day charter for Ron Werner and his 6 year old son Kevin. It was Kevin's first day ever in the ocean and he had to break in a new rod & reel. There was a residual roll from yesterday's rough weather but Kevin toughed it out. We fished 2 inshore wrecks in 65 ft and the group put 44 Seabass up to 4 lbs. in the box before we called it a day. The new rod & reel worked well.

06/03/06
Captain Paul reports:
Capt. Paul had the Gary Budman charter on board the Bounty Hunter today. With the 20 knot SW wind and the all day rain conditions were less than ideal. We fished 3 of my favorite snags 20 miles offshore and it was drop and reel fishing. We had 35 Seabass on the first drop, 102 on the second and we finished up the 6 man 150 fish limit catch on the third. Most of the Seabass were in the 2 to 4 lb. range. The charter also boxed several nice Ling and caught and released over a dozen Blackfish.

06/02/06
Captain Paul reports:
After a day off to do some engine maintenance Capt. Paul returned to the Striper fishery with the Mike Fuschetti charter. It was obvious early that the Bass had scattered and the large body of fish had moved on. We worked an area south of Manasquan Inlet with Spoons and Shad Rigs and all we could produce were 2 Stripers along with an endless bite of big Bluefish. The charter kept 4 Blues and released over 30 up to 15 lbs.

05/31/06
Captain Paul reports:
Tom Headley and his group were back on board the Bounty Hunter for their weekly Striper charter and today's fishing was as good as the trip they had last week. Capt. Paul again located the schools of Bass in 50 Ft. of water and went to work with the Bunker Spoons. The charter had a blast reeling in the large fish one after the other and had their limit of 10 Bass plus 4 Bonus fish within 2 hours. The largest Bass of the day was a 30 pounder landed by Larry Fox. Along the Bass the Alligator Blues were in the mix again and over 2 dozen were caught and released.

05/30/06
Captain Paul reports:
After Seabass fishing over the past few days Capt. Paul returned back to Striper fishing. The Brian McFadden charter was on board the Bounty Hunter and we spent the first 2 hours looking for reads and birds. Locating big bait reads in 50 ft. of water we put out the Bunker Spoons and were in to the big Bass almost immediately. The big Blues were in the mix but did not pose a serious problem. The charter went on to put 16 big Stripers in the boat which consisted of a limit catch of 10 Bass plus 5 Bonus Fish and 1 fish for the crew. Most of the fish were in the high teens to mid twenties range but the big fish of the day was a 50" Striper weighing in at just under 45 lbs. The big fish was caught by Tom Donnelly.

05/29/06
Captain Paul reports:
The Tom Johnson charter decided to switch to Seabass fishing and pass on the Stripers. It was a good decision as the Seabass bit very well. Tom and his group had never fished for Seabass before today and we had to go thru a learning process for the first 2 hours. Once they figured it out the Seabass came over the gunnels all day. We fished 4 wrecks in 65 to 85 ft. of water and the charter put 127 Seabass up to 4 lbs. in the fish box plus two 17" Tog. Fresh Clams were the baits of choice.

05/28/06
Captain Paul reports:
The John Light charter passed up on the slow Striper bite of the past few days to get in on some early season Seabass fishing. Capt. Paul worked 5 local wrecks in 60 to 75 Ft. and put together a nice catch of Seabass up to 4 lbs. The charter had good action on 3 stops and only picked on the other 2 as the new moon had the current running pretty good. Final tally for the day 119 Seabass plus a bonus 23 Lb. Striper which jumped on a small clam bait on a 2/0 hook.

05/27/06
Captain Paul reports:
Capt. Paul had the "Mac" MacSherry charter on board the Bounty Hunter and we decided to avoid the weekend Striper madness. We made our way to the south and fished 4 wrecks 22 miles from Manasquan Inlet. We fished 70 to 90 Ft. depths and had a good pull on all 4 stops. At days end the charter had put 123 Seabass in the box and everyone went home with a bag of Fillets.

05/26/06> Captain Paul reports:
Capt. Paul had the Keith Toboada charter on board the Bounty Hunter and unfortunately we spent the day in a zero visibility fog and endless miles of Bluefish. The best we could do was stop on reads and Jig. Once the jigs hit the water the Blues were on them immediately. An 8 hour effort produced 2 Stripers and all the Bluefish you would want.

05/25/06
Captain Paul reports:
Capt. Paul made his first Seabass wreck trip of the 2006 season with the Hal Hall charter. It felt great to drop two anchors and come up tight on 3 of my favorite snags. We knew that we would catch a few but when the big Seabass started to bite it was apparent that the larger fish had moved in. After making 3 stops we had our 5 man limit of 125 Seabass up to 4 lbs. and left them biting when we started for home. On a slow ride along the beach we found the birds working over a school of Stripers and the charter proceeded to Jig 5 Bass, the largest of which was 43" and weighed in at 30 lbs. It was the first Bass ever caught by 12 year old Zack Litowinsky. Krocodiles were used for the jigging.

05/24/06
Captain Paul reports:
The Tom Headley charter was on board the Bounty Hunter and for us it turned out to be a very difficult day to catch Stripers. There was no concentration of fish and the few Bass that were around were spread out from Spring Lake up to Sandy Hook. We worked several areas and picked up one or two Bass at a time, some on Jigs and others on Spoons. It was frustrating at times but at the end of a long day we scratched out a limit catch of 10 Bass up to 39" plus catching and releasing over 30 Blues.

05/22/06
Captain Paul reports:
Capt. Paul had the Mike Lewis charter on board the Bounty Hunter today and we decided to jig the Bass rather then use our Spoons. We located a surface feeding school of Stripers along with the working birds off Monmouth Beach and the charter proceeded to put their limit plus Bonus fish in the boat within an hour. The largest Bass was 44" and weighed in at 27 lbs. Today was by far the best Jigging we have had this season. As the bite slowed the Blues moved in and we Jigged and released over 3 dozen. Since we had our catch in the box we decided to put out the Spoons for an hour and we caught and released 5 more Bass, all over 36". We called it a day at 10AM. with 13 Bass in the box.

05/21/06
Captain Paul reports:
Capt. Paul had the Chris Cameroni charter on board the Bounty Hunter and started out for Sandy Hook. We never got past the Shrewsbury Rocks as we were called in on a hot Trolling bite which was taking place. Putting out the Bunker Spoons we had our first Bass within minutes. We worked the area and finished up with 11 large Bass. The largest a 44" fish which weighed in at 26 lbs. As the Bass bite slowed the Blues moved in and took over for a few hours. The charter kept 4 and released over a dozen.

05/20/06
Captain Paul reports:
Capt. Paul had release fishermen Werner & Wolfgang Sprie on board the Bounty Hunter today. We ran up to Sandy Hook and anchored in 15 Ft of water. Fishing with fresh clams we picked away at the Bass for 4 hrs. When the bite slowed we had landed and released 32 Bass up to 34". A decision to troll Spoons off Asbury Park on the way home produced 3 Bass the largest a 39" fish.

05/19/06
Captain Paul reports:
Capt. Paul had the Gus Kuhlman charter on board the Bounty Hunter and worked slowly north along the beach looking for birds and Bass reads. Locating a small read just south of the Rocks the charter put their first 4 Bass in the box while Trolling Bunker Spoons. We spent the rest of the day Jigging on reads and Trolling Spoons in the area from Long Branch up to the Rocks. The bites were considerably slower than the past few days but we did put a limit catch of Bass up to 40" together along with a few dozen Blues which were released.

05/18/06
Captain Paul reports:
The Bill Haines charter was on the Bounty Hunter today and Capt. Paul started the day by looking for the big Bass that could be jigged. We landed our first 3 Bass of Elberon then proceeded to chase the birds and Bass readings for the rest of the day. We jigged to many locations to list as the Bass were spread out and you had to chase the reads. However at days end we did have a limit catch of 12 Bass up to 44" (25 lbs.) plus 1 Bonus fish and released 2 more plus 2 dozen Blues.

05/17/06
Captain Paul reports:
Tom Headley returned to the Bounty Hunter for his weekly charter and got in on the best Striper fishing of the season. Trolling Spoons on the Rocks in the AM produced 2 large Bass. Moving a bit offshore we found ourselves in the thickest read of Bass that we have seen all season. The Bass lit up the fishfinder from 40 ft. down to the bottom which was 80 ft. away. It was drop & reel fishing for 2 hours. with Ava 47's and Krocodiles. When the bite ended the charter had put 13 large Bass in the box up to 45" including 3 Bonus fish while releasing 26 Bass all over 34". Our largest 3 fish tipped the scale at 24, 25 & 34 lbs.

05/16/06
Captain Paul reports:
The Greg Lewis charter was on board the Bounty Hunter and Capt. Paul headed back to Raritan Bay. Anchored in 14 ft. of water the bite did not start for us until the last 1 1/2 hrs. of the incoming tide. Once started they bit thru the entire tide change. The 4 man charter put a limit catch of 8 Bass up to 38" in the box plus two 37" bonus fish. They released another 32 Bass.

05/15/06
Captain Paul reports:
Capt. Paul had the Dave Smith charter on board the Bounty Hunter. At 6AM the wind was out of the NE at 25 to 30 Knots along with a pouring rain and the ocean was rolling pretty good. The charter had a lot of heart and we knew we could make our way up to Sandy Hook. Once there we were the only boat on the fishing grounds until we were joined by 3 party boats out of the Highlands. The tough ride out paid off as the charter enjoyed non stop Bass fishing putting a limit catch of 12 Bass up to 35" in the box while releasing another 28. By 9:30AM conditions realy started to deteriorate so we called it a day and made the long 20 mile ride back to Pt. Pleasant. Good Boat, Great Captain and one tough charter.

05/14/06
Captain Paul reports:
Werner & Wolfgang Sprie did another back to back charter and Capt. Paul headed back to Sandy Hook. Anchored in 20 Ft. today's bite was not as fast as yesterday's but it was steady. We only fished until 10AM due to the Mother's Day commitments but we did manage to land and release 41 Bass up to 37"

05/13/06
Captain Paul reports:
Werner & Wolfgang Sprie returned to the Bounty Hunter and Capt. Paul headed back to Sandy Hook. After anchoring in 18 Ft. of 55 degree water it did not take long to land our first Bass. We kept the Bass under the boat with some heavy clam chumming and by the end of the incomming tide the 2 man charter had landed 54 Bass up to 37" and released them all. A short stop to pull Bunker Spoons produced one 37" Bass and 6 very large Bluefish which were released.

05/10/06
Captain Paul reports:
Capt. Paul had the Tom Headley charter on board the Bounty Hunter for Tom's weekly Bass trip. After running up to Sandy Hook and anchoring in 15 Ft. we had the Stripers on our Clam baits in a few minutes. The Bass bit steady for 4 hours with only an occasional lull. We released 51 fish while keeping 8 up to 34". A decision to troll Bunker Spoons in the spread of Bunker working south of Sandy Hook produced 8 more Bass ranging in size from 36" to 38". We kept the 4 largest as Bonus fish and released the others.

05/07/06
Captain Paul reports:
Capt. Paul had the Abe Coban charter on board the Bounty Hunter and headed back to Sandy Hook. We anchored on a solid Bass read in 18 Ftof water and where we struggled yesterday today the Stripers bit for 3 hours non stop. The charter landed 44 Bass up to 34" releasing 31 and keeping 13 which included 1 bonus fish. I Still have a couple of open days available. So if anyone wants to get in on some great Bass fishing give me a call @ 732-323-8700

05/06/06
Captain Paul reports:
Werner & Wolfgang Sprie returned for their second charter in as many days. Capt. Paul ran the Bounty Hunter back to the Sandy Hook area and anchored in 20 Ft. of water. It became apparent quickly that the bite was going to be off as after 3 hours we only had landed and released 8 Stripers the largest a 35" fish. A short move to Romer Shoal added 5 more Bass to our total. An hour of trolling Bunker Spoons on the edge of the Reach Channel added 2 more Fish to the tally. The largest trolled fish was a 38" Bass. Total for the day 15 Stripers plus 8 Bluefish. All the fish were released.

05/05/06
Captain Paul reports:
Capt. Paul had release Fishermen Werner & Wolfgang Sprie on the Bounty Hunter for the first day of back to back charters. Getting up to Sandy Hook and anchoring in 22 Ft. of 53 Degree water we had a slow start at getting the Bass going. The first hour produced 2 short Bass. A short move of a 1/2 mile proved to be more productive as we landed another 24 Bass up to 33" and 4 Bluefish. As usual all the Bass & Blues were released unharmed.

05/04/06
Captain Paul reports:
Capt. Paul had the Angelo Melchiorri charter on board the Bounty Hunter and headed back to the Sandy Hook area. Anchoring in 25 Ft. the Bass wasted no time jumping on our clam baits. On the way in a brief stop on the Rocks to pull some Spoons added a 12 Lb. Blue along with a 40" (20lb. )Bonus Bass to the catch.

05/03/06
Captain Paul reports:
Finally! After getting blown out by the NE winds of the past few days Capt. Paul got the 2006 season underway with the Tom Headley charter. Splitting the day between Romer Shoal and the ocean side of Sandy Hook we picked away at the Bass in less than ideal conditions as the wind was against the tide for most of the day. Anchoring in 25 Ft. the charter landed just under 20 Bass. Releasing all but 4 keepers between 31" and 34". Fresh Clams were the bait of choice today.

12/11/05
Captain Paul reports:
The Jason Bobb charter was on board the Bounty Hunter and Capt. Paul retuned to the Shrewsbury Rocks. The area was once again alive with birds working over a huge spread of Bass. The down side was that most of the Bass were in the 18" to 22" class. You could Jig or Troll as many as you wanted. Our charter released over 150 and only managed 2 Slot fish up to 27". It appears that the big fish have passed us by and the run may be close to being over.

Blue and White Shads worked well. By noon the ocean conditions deteriorated due to the 30 Knot NW wind so we called it a day early.

12/06/05
Captain Paul reports:
After getting 6" of a strange white substance off the entire boat Capt. Paul headed south to Island Beach with the Mark Kacek charter. It seemed strange being the only boat in the ocean surrounded by a few thousand birds and several thousand Stripers which were waiting to bite. The 2 man charter Jigged on endless readings off Seaside & Island Beach putting 4 large Slot fish in the box and one 34" Keeper. There were no larger fish to be had today but most of the Jig fish were Slots and in betweeners. It was not good fishing at all. When we started to catch Seabass & Porgies we knew we were doomed. The water is still to warm to turn on the bigger fish. We switched over to Striper fishing in an attempt to save the day but after anchoring off Sandy Hook and Clamming for 3 hours all we had was 1 Bonus fish and 1 Short. Overall not a very productive day.

11/19/05

The "Mac" MacSherry charter was on the Bounty Hunter today. Capt. Paul headed north and found the birds working off Asbury Park. Hearing that a few big Bass were caught we gave the Spoons a try but the alligator Blues were thick so we moved on. Working the birds from the Rocks north up to the Highlands Bridge we jigged a Slot Bass and all the Blues you wanted Anchoring at the tide change the charter put another 6 Slot fish in the boat while releasing a few shorts and in betweeners.

We found the birds working in 55 to 70 Ft. of water from Seaside Park down to Barnegat Inlet. Unfortunately it was all Bluefish. Drifting and jigging Ava's and Cripple Herrings we caught and released close to 100 Blues and only managed 2 Stripers, one short and one 27" Slot.

We moved between the channels and Trolled another slot fish Anchoring and Clamming we boxed our third Slot fish then trolled a 4th fish off Asbury Park on the way home. Not a very good day but if Bluefish was your target you could catch all you wanted. The Blues were thick from Sandy Hook down to Sea Girt. We released over 50.

Capt. Paul had the Bounty Hunter back at Sandy Hook today with the Bill Browne charter. An effort to drift clams proved to be futile as the great weather and calm seas brought out a large crowd. A move to in between the channels and Trolling was more productive. The charter limited out on Slot fish and released another 2 dozen shorts and in betweeners. The Bluefish kept a bend in the rods and the group caught over 30 Blues, keeping 14 and releasing the rest. All the Bass & Blues were caught on Shad & Tube rigs.

The John Ford charter was on board the Bounty Hunter and Capt Paul went back to Sandy Hook. After yesterdays horrible conditions it was a pleasure to see a calm ocean. More enjoyable was the fact that the Stripers were ready to bite. Drifting Clam baits in 25 Ft. of water we had a good 2 hour bite. The charter put a 6 fish slot limit in the box along with a 37" keeper. Two 33" Bonus fish were also boated. Over the course of the day another 30+ bass were released. It was good fishing and should only get better as we get further into the month.

The John Gilligan charter was on board the Bounty Hunter and Capt. Paul returned to Sandy Hook. The ocean conditions were calm as we cleared the Inlet but by 9AM the wind started to come on. We landed our first Striper a 27" slot fish then the conditions fell apart. With an outgoing tide and a 30 Knot SW wind the striper fishing was over. We went on the Troll with wire line and the Bluefish kept a bend in the rods. All the Blues were released and we called it a day at 12:30.

The Tom Headley group started their fall Striper season on board the Bounty Hunter and Capt. Paul wasted no time getting up to Sandy Hook. Capt. Paul had the Pat Kester charter on board the Bounty Hunter and headed down to the wrecks SE of Manasquan Inlet. Working 5 pieces during the day the charter had to fish thru the Dogfish and small Seabass to make their catch, however at the end of the day we had over 90 Seabass up to 3 lbs. in the box. This was the last Seabass charter of the season for the Bounty Hunter. Starting 11/3 we will be on a daily Striper schedule thru mid December.

The Hal Hall charter was on board the Bounty Hunter on Thursday and Capt. Paul ran the Bounty Hunter to 2 Wrecks and 2 Snags east of Manasquan Inlet. To our surprise the fishing was pretty good compared to the trip we had few days ago. The fish were larger and more plentiful until the Dogfish found us. Once found you had to pull the 2 anchors and move on to a new drop. The 4 man charter did manage to put together a limit catch of Seabass up to 3 Lbs. along with a handful of Porgies.
