Captain Joe LaRosa and Captain Phil Dulanie report:
Had the Wirtenberg charter out on Memorial Day to enjoy some of the best wreck fishing of the year, we fished 15 miles south of Manasquan. Sea Bass to 5lbs were the order of the day as the over 200 Sea Bass, Blackfish, Ling and School Cod were boated. The Canyon Runner will continue making trips for Sea Bass through June and beyond if this excellent fishing continues.

5/25/97
Captain Joe LaRosa reports:
Took out the Irwin Neadel Charter for a day of Wreckfishing and loaded up on Sea Bass and Blackfish to 4 lbs. Most of the fish were caught on the first stop in 75 feet of water, 15 miles south of Manasquan. On the ride home we notice a significant number of bluefish tailing along the surface and trolled a couple dozen on squid spoons and planers in under an hour. While the fishing was excellent, the wheather refused to cooperated but luckily we were back at the dock loaded up with fish before the heavy stuff started to come down.
