Information : weather looked great so my father and i went out for a 10 hour bottom trip on the gambler. first fish i landed was a beautiful 18 pound pollock my largest to date. our total catch through the day was 20 really big ling,20-25 pout,2 beautiful pollock, 40-50 big bergalls,a dozen dogfish and a few sea ravens which are ugly but absolutely delicious. constant action all day long and at the end of the day a guy fishing the port stern across from me landed a 45 pound codfish the largest cod i have ever seen. also may i give a great big thank you to the crew of the gambler they were really great . the mate was there with the gaff for my big pollock before it was 50 feet from the surface. overall a great day and a great boat

Information : Fished the river from 12:30 - 4. Water was clear but choked with boats. No one was having much luck. Caught three flounder and half a dozen spider crabs. So much for the newspaper reports.

side of Sandy Hook across from the entrance toll booth's. People were leaving without any bites all
morning, but I decided to stay and try it. Fished from

Information : Launched at broad street ramp in Keyport, first time there, got in at high tide, had to walk in from waist deep up ramp later on. Tried union beach, cliffwood beach for bass, nothing, ran up the bay towards the south amboy and anchored amidst the fleet! Struggled to catch 2 spiny skates and that was all. Saw a couple go over the rail on the angler but not too much action on the small boats. Great first day on the water though. Tight lines.

Information : man oh man decided to hi the rocks at 4 got there casted a hook with clam. let it sit. decided to go and throw a lure out while fishing. used a kastmaster with a tail i got one hit. and then rest of day tried divers/poppers/powerbait eels. Nothing worked. man. i was thinking about taking my ear and putting it on a hook.

Information : Left for Ocean City, NJ at 10:00 at night from Philly with a few friends. GOt there at 12, set up and in the water by 12:30am. Weather was beautiful, no wind, just the moon and a calm bay, however, no fish. Just thought I'd let people know. My opinion, the water is too cold still. IT couldnt have been a nicer night for striper, but, they were no where in sight. Keep trying though, I am sure that stragglers are around.

Information : Had to get out of the poconos and see the ocean. Tried the south jetty at the inlet on the incoming tide, not a bite. Also tried a sabiki for some herring but no luck. Pretty raw with the wind off the water. Went down to 'squan for more of the same, saw some fisherman on the jenks side. Oh well, beats sitting in the boat in the backyard! Tight lines.
