Boat Name: Big Jamaica
Date Fished: 1/2/05
Location: offshore
Fishing Method: bottom, clam
Specie: Black Sea Bass
Size: between 4 and 6 lbs
Bait or Lure: Clams, Jigs
Water Depth: 250
Water Temp.: ???
Information : Went on the 18hr offshore bottom trip with the Jamaica. Fishing was pretty much a slow pick, but the fish that were boated were monsters. I would say that the average catch was about 5 to 7 fish a person. With the exception of the few anglers that had the only sweet spot of the wreck at one drop. There were a few nice cod and pollock boated as well. Fishing not what it should be out there yet, but at least I have some nice fillets. Bagged 6 myself with only one under 5 lbs.

Boat Name: saint Jude

Fishing Method: bottom
Specie: Black Sea Bass
Size: 2-7 lbs.
Bait or Lure: clam

Information : Got a bunch of the boys (Joe Yocco, Joe Frasco, John Cherry, Don-d Hallingse, Bob Nagel, Paul Heinel, Chris Stinnet, and some kid named Michael) to brave the cold atlantic for a trip to some offshore wrecks for the elusive "giant seabass" We found them and enjoyed catching them. I think it's a long way to go though and will probably opt to take a party boat next year.
We caught our limit which translates to alot of meat when you consider their size! Seas were remarkably bearable considering the time of year.
