over the last 3 days. Blame the new moon, the calm weather or the boat traffic,
whatever but the Bass fishing has slowed over the past few days. Today was the worst
we've seen as the Bob McColgan charter only boated 3 keeper Bass up to 31"

helpfulness was nothing short of amazing. Anyhow, to the fishing. It took us about
five hours and change to get out to the fishing grounds (he took it slow so we could
sleep) and the first drop produced only a couple of fish. After a slight
repositioning, a mix of porgies, pollock, and ling were comign over the rails. We
fished 4 different recks and fishing was fair on the first three drops but the last
drop really made the day. Many people caught a mix of cod, an 17lb pollock on a jig
which did not win the pool, a few jumbo porgies, and a couple of seabass. I
personally, landed 2 jumbo sized porgies, about a half dozen conger eals, two jumbo
